Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Decoupage Delights..The Roses and The Butterflies

Todays card is a design team make for the great company of Decoupage Delights. For today I thought that I would share how I use the Decoupage Delights alongside my other cdroms. I had this lovely image of the lady in the big hat which is on Joanna Sheens 'Age of Elegance cdrom but, knowing what sort of card I wanted to make, I knew that I needed a bouquet of roses. And that's where the Decoupage Delights 'Fancy Floral' cdrom came into play.I just went through the floral cd until I found flowers in the right colour for the image. The baking paper is also from the 'Age of Elegance'. I created the mat for the image using a tonic punch, then added the decoupaged roses and the greeting. Finally I took some peeloff butterflies and stuck them onto the matching pink card and cut them out and added them alongside some pearls.

Goodness me I hope that all that made sense..lol. I have been ill since yesterday and my head is still very foggy. I keep trying to tell myself that it's not that bad but I do look quite a bit like Rudolf..lol..my nose is a lovely side of red. I got up this morning and by 1p.m.I was back in bed. I have to say that after being in bed, I do feel a little better. So hopefully, with another early night, I hope I will get back to normal. Even though I live with pain everyday, when something like this comes along...it just throws everything else out. The cats must be wondering what is going on...when I went back to bed, they all followed me and stood looking at me as if I'd lost my mind..lol. Sad to say when I got up, they thought that they were going to get another breakfast..they can dream on..the greedy little beasts.

Well the coffee is calling and I'd better have one as my head is going a bit mussy again. It's hurting my eyes to focus...goodness me I'm a whinging ninny today. So until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting

JB-Crafting Supplies...The Puppy and The butterfly.

Todays card is a design team make for the wonderful JB-Crafting Supplies team. It was made using the wonderful Moreheads cdrom brought to us crafters by Crafters Companion. I just love this image of the puppy and the butterfly. I have decoupaged both. The black decorative frame is made using a Tonic die. There are just so many toppers on this cd...it is a great cd to have in your library. You would be able to find a topper suitable for anyone. One cd features boys and girls and the other features animals. I have to say that it is the animals one that I love the most of course..lol

What a weekend. I had lots of visitors and ended up getting no work done,,lol. But to me the friends that came are more important..so today it's going to take a lot to catch up. The weather here is the mountains is strangely fine. No rain, no wind and as I sit here, all I can hear is the birds singing. I heard the owl land on my bedroom ceiling again last night. Some one told me that they have their own flight route and that I must be on that route. What I found strange before I knew it was an owl, all I heard was the scratching as it climbed the roof. First you hear the thud of it landing, then you hear it scratching it's way to the ridge. When it is on the ridge you are sometimes hear it flap it's wings.

All the cats are very quiet today..Jeffrey is the only one that has gone out. Reg is in his bed by his self for once. He makes me laugh because he keeps moving his dog bed across the floor.I don't know where he thinks he's taking it to..lol. Everyone that comes in ends up moving it back to it's place...and as soon as he's alone..on the move again it goes. Virgo man has now planted the trees on the land...we shall have to see if they take. It would be nice to think that in a couple of years we might be picking fruit.

Well the coffee is calling and I'm hoping that Sparkle will come. He does make the best of brews, it has to be said. I often think that coffee is to me as petrol is to a car. I don't have a clue in the world until I've had a caffeine hit..lol.  I'd better get on with some work..I've a long list of cards to make , as well as some ideas that are floating round my head. It makes me laugh sometimes..there I am lying in bed, and I'll see something or read something and the idea for a card is there. Every day something will inspire me...I've just come to the conclusion that I need more hours in my day..lol. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.

Moon baby

Todays card is a new baby card that I made for a friends daughter. I just love this image..you know how much I love rabbits..so it was an easy choice for me. The image and the backing paper are from the wonderful Hollypond Hill cdrom from Joanna Sheen. I have framed the image using a die from Tonic. Even though I have used this image for a card for a little boy, it could easily be for a little girl. I normally don't do cute as some images I find a little too much but I just love the images on both Hollypond Hill and the Hollypond Hill Christmas. And the backing papers are gorgeous..some of them I wish I could have as wallpaper. While I was making this card I thought it would be nice to make a card for the new grandparents as well, as my friend was so excited about becoming a grandma at last. I'm happy to say that this one little boy who is lucky enough to be born into a wonderful family that will surround him with love. Who could wish for more.

I feel as if I'm recovering a little today from the nightmare that has been this week. I'm hoping that I can get to 6 oclock tonight with no more phonecalls or visits. Then hopefully I can spend the weekend crafting and get myself centered again. It really has been horrible this week and I feel in some ways it took me back into the space I was just after Henrys death. I spent weeks feeling as if I was hanging on to my sanity by my fingertips and took a lot to get out of that space. Then with no consideration or warning the agencies put me right back there. But today has been calm, I took Reg for a wheel and have managed to get my work sorted out for the weekend. I have had some new products come my way and will be sharing them with you next week. I love them and was surprised with the quality and selection...I know I'm teasing..but I promise I will share next week..lol

Well the coffee is calling and then I'm just going to put some music on and craft my way back to sanity..or at least my version of it..lol.I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and always remember to have a little me time. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.

Exciting News

Todays card is another featuring the wonderful digi designs of Adele Bradwell aka Jiggery Makery. I have so enjoyed working on these designs and there are more in the pipeline. This sassy lady is eating her strawberries and cream rather than having a game of tennis. The backing paper is another from the Pretty Tuff cdrom by Polka Doodles. The doiley is made with with a tonic die. The flowers that I used, I made using a stamp from Chocolate Baroque which I heat embossed with gold and then coloured and jewelled. The greeting is one that I made up because that's just how I feel most of the time..lol. The image I coloured with my copics. As always I must state that all copyrights belonging to the digi design of the lady remain the property of Adele Bradwell. To see more of her images and find out more, please get in touch with Adele through her facebook page Jiggery Makery

Today I have some more exciting news. Yesterday I was given the chance to join the wonderful team over at The Crafting Musketeers. So I was more than delighted to become a member of their very talented design team. I have been looking through the work of the other members of the team...and it took my breath away. There are some supremely talented and inspiring crafters on the team...I will have to be on my A game. But I'm really looking forward to working with them. Since beginning my crafting journey, I have met some wonderful people..more than happy to share their knowledge and love of crafting.

Well I took Reg for a wheel today, alongside 5 of the cats. Tankie spent her whole time rolling in the cut grass and flinging it over everyone else.Jeffrey was the only male among the group and I have to say that today he spent most of the walk being henpecked. He will wind the ladies up every day in one way or other and then wonders why they get their own back. It made me laugh today..his innocent ..(lol) face, looking shocked that they would gang up on him. It's very hot here again..they keep threatening more rain but it's not here yet. We had a small spell yesterday but then it was fine. My friend visited from Liverpool and he told me that it was hammering down there last night when he got back. It makes a change I have to say...most of my visitors usually tell me that they have never had anything but rain in Cwm.

Well the coffee is calling and then I'm off to win the battle of the watermark. Adele from Jiggery Makery has designed me a beautiful watermark for use on my cards but I'm just so thick when it comes to computers..lol. But today I'm off to fight the good fight and hopefully master the beast. I will let you know how it goes. Keep your fingers crossed for me. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting...

Purple Handbag

Todays card is one that I have made for the design team over at jb-crafting supplies. It is a handbag shape..from a board in my stash. It is decorated using the fabulous anemone die from the team over at Tonic. The nice thing about this handbag shape is that the way that it is made allows you to actually put a small gift inside the handbag.

Please forgive me the fact that I wasn't able to blog over the weekend..but as I posted two of my cats had been badly injured and now we have a little sick bay set up in the parlour. Glad to say that they are making a great recovery...bless them..the only downside is that the whole room smells of disinfectant..tcp to be exact. I have set up the two pens and they each have a cuddly blanket, litter trays and a array of bowls filled with special little treats. At the moment everyone is asleep...mind you it is just so hot...I've had to put the fan on to keep it nice and cool for them.

As promised I have taken more pictures of the view that we have on our daily wheel. The two pictures below show the valley where we all live. I always feel totally blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

And of course there had to be a picture of one of the cat walkers..lol. Below is a picture of Rave. She was the only one that came today. She seemed really happy today and purtled the whole way.

I have a lot of new cards to share with you this week and lots of orders to complete. And of course I'm looking forward to the Commonwealth games, which will starting soon. As far as I'm concerned it will be a perfect time..crafting in front of me and lots to watch. I just want to say a massive thankyou to everyone that messaged me over the past couple of days...it has meant so much.

Well I'm glad to say the coffee is calling...I haven't run out yet but it may well happen. The more stress I have ..the more coffee I drink...lol...so this weekend it has been on tap. But things are looking up. So until tomorrow..please take care and happy crafting.

Roses for you

Todays card is one I have made for the design team over at the fabulous Just for Fun Challenge blog. Why don't you pop over for a look? This card features a decoupaged little girl from the lovely Moreheads cdrom brought to us by Crafters Companion. It was one of my cds that I really hadn't used for a while..so I decided to have a play. The doily effect is made using a die from the Tonic range. The corners are from the Signature die range. I layered the doily onto some gold mirror card to add a little shine. I then die cut some rose leaves and coloured them with my alcohol pens and then added some paper roses. I really enjoyed making this card...I got to play with lots of different things and took my time. Sometimes with life as it is, we need to make a card in a hurry but sometimes I think we need to remember why we craft...because we love it and I have to say that spending an hour playing with my crafting bits can't be beaten. Some people love the football, some the tennis but give me card making every time. Well give me athletics and crafting...and I'm in heaven. I'm looking forward to watching the Diamond League athletics tomorrow..so it should be a good night.

When I took Reg for a wheel today it was like a village meeting. We were joined by 2 friends, had 5 cars stop for a chat, a little boy came over to see his friend Reg and another dog and his owner joined us for a while. A car also stopped and I was shocked to see it was a friend who had left the village around 8 years ago.He lives down south now but was in the area and heard about Henry...and wanted to come and see me. I was so touched that he had taken time out of his day to check I was ok and to say how he felt over losing Henry. This was someone who encouraged Henry to take his first steps. It was so kind of him to call and helped me to remember just how kind people can be. Sometimes since losing Henry, I have felt so alone, missing him all the time and it really does help to talk about him to people that really cared. What a blessing it was for today. I think Reg was exhausted when he came back...he probably was saying to himself..goodness doesn't my mum ever stop chatting. He knows now how many people stop us and just sits down on the grass...with a look that says..when you're ready mum!...lol

Well the coffee is calling...along with a small bit of my new secret passion....Lotus caramelised biscuit spread...I love it but have to seriously ration myself...lol. It just sounds so wrong but really tastes good..I think a little bit on a slice of bread will make a lovely treat. So until tomorrow take care and happy crafting

Just for Fun Challenge Blog

Well today is an exciting day for me. My first card made for the Just for Fun Challenge Blog. I'm lucky enough to have just joined the wonderful design team over there. Why not pop over and have a look? Why not join in the fun. There are some really amazing talented crafters on the design team and I'm so lucky to be working with them. They have been very patient with me and many dumb moments. I readily admit to not being the best with a computer and still being in need of advice on many occasions..and the team have always been there for me. One of the cards that I decided to make was this one featuring this cute puppy from the Moorheads cdrom from Crafters Companion. The oval doily is from the Tonic die range. It is a very simple design for me but I really wanted to use a little black for a change. When I saw this little dalmation, I thought he would be perfect. I will be sharing my other design team card with you tomorrow..I hope you will pop along and have a look..take care and happy crafting.

Thankyou Card

Todays card is a reworking of a thankyou card using this lovely image from One Summers Day by Joanna Sheen. So many times I have needed to send a thankyou card and this would be my favourite type. I love using purples and blues. The ivy flourish is from Joanna Sheens Signature Die range. I love the entire range...and I have admit to owning most of it!!...simply because they do what they say..they cut so easily and cleanly. So many dies that I have bought in the past are so hard to use..having to use lots of shims and the cut not being as clean as you would like. I now tend to stay with the ranges that I have found to be fantastic..the Signature range...Brittania range..All Occasion range..Tonic and finally the Tattered Lace range. It took me a long time to get into die cutting..I think it was the thought of adding another type to my crafting goodies...another thing to spend money on...but I'm so happy that I did. I only buy dies that I know will work with the type of crafting I do. Thank goodness for that...you could spend fortunes on all the different dies out there...I'm grateful that I have limited funds so I have to make every penny count and every die has to be able to earn it's space.

The weather is still lovely..even though it is a bit cooler..I love it like this...sunny but with a breeze. I wheeled Reg and had 5 cats with me today. The horse seems to have gone from the field...we all missed our extra friend today. I took Reg out earlier today so that I would be back in time to watch the athletics on the tv. It is my secret passion...I adore watching all the athletics...it is something I have done for years now. So a lovely afternoon ahead...crafting and athletics..a strange combination I know but it works for me.

Well the coffee calls..so I hope you have a wonderful day...take care and happy crafting

Anniversary Card

Todays card was an order for a 31st. wedding anniversary. I didn't know what the symbol was for this anniversary...so as always I went on a hunt and discovered that it was timepieces. So, with that in mind I decided to make the clock the main feature. I put the time to 3 o'clock...the time of their wedding. The flower and buds are made using the wonderful Floral Delights Anemone Die from Tonic. I cut the leaves, using the anemone pad and then painted the flowers using my Twinkling H2Os, because the lady who the card was for loved pink flowers. The shape of the card itself is made using the Bookatrix board from the Glitter Girls. I use this board so much as it makes such a great base for whatever you want to create.

Today in the mountains it is a beautiful day. I take my dog Reginald out attached to my wheelchair and he loves it. People that live round here are used to laughing at my entourage. There I am in my chair with Reg, followed by a stream of at least 6 cats. From the first trip the cats have decided that they don't want to miss out and whatever the weather, they trot along. Well today they had a shock...we have a special place where we turn around and if the weathers good we have a little break there. All the cats and Reg had lay down on the grass and the next thing was a horse decided to put his head over the fence. All the cats shot up to investigate..it was just so funny. I'm sure that my youngest cat Jeff was thinking wow that's a big cat!! Every day we manage to stop the cars..with most people finding our little group so funny. At the least it gives them something to smile about.

Well the coffee calls and there are cards waiting to be created...so until tomorrow take care and happy crafting

Anniversary Cake

Todays card is from the Jane Shasky 'From the Heart of the Garden' by Joanna Sheen. This is a wonderful cd and one that I go back to time and time again. This card is an order for a silver wedding card The cdrom is a 2 disc collection featuring something for every season. There are some beautiful backing papers as well. I have mounted the image onto a die cut frame from the Tonic range. I had a lovely comment over on Vixenvarg Cards and Creations where the lady said that it had a very victorian feel to it. I hope that you all like it as well.
It's very cold here, with that cold snap to the air. Son had a really good time at the christmas celebration and parade yesterday and just to let you know his ice-cream of choice was chocolate, coffee and walnut. And he said it was very good. I have to say the thought of eating ice-cream at the moment goes through me. I think I'm more of a hot chocolate person myself..lol So all the weather predictions seem to be for a white christmas but who knows. My Grandmother always used to say..well it's too cold to snow. When I was little I always thought that it was the strangest thing to say...how could it be too cold...but now I know it's true. It always does seem to warm a little before a good snow. I love the snow..it always looks as if the world has been covered with a glittery blanket.
How are you doing with all your christmas preparations? I'm hoping to get ready to decorate tomorrow. I have looked around the parlour and am trying to decide where all my collections will go. The one thing that I really love is putting the decorations on the tree. The collection grows every year with us adding a new ornament every season. This years is a little cross eyed robin that Son brought back with him. Last year he bought a reindeer that had been cross stitched onto a red heart. These will become memories for the future. Son has an ornament from his first christmas..a teddy on a rocking horse and I have mine. My ornament is a little angel. Her net skirt has yellowed with the years but to me she remains as magical as she was when I was a little girl. I have a lantern that was my grandmothers...so when the tree is put up we can remember the family going back through the years.
I have a lot of happy crafting to do this afternoon...Son is off again to get festive, so the house will hopefully be quiet apart from the sound of me pinging jewels everywhere. So as the coffee calls..I hope that you have a lovely day and until tomorrow.. take care and happy crafting.

Afternoon tea

Todays card is a cardswop card which I will be sending off in the next couple of days. It features artwork from The Heart of the Garden by Joanna Sheen. The card also features a diecut mat made with a tonic die The theme for the swop was Hearth and Home. I thought long and hard about what to do and I decided to feature a china cup and saucer. I collect vintage china (among many other things) and for many years I held a ladies afternoon tea using my pretty china. There is always a special feeling having a ladies tea...it takes me back to my childhood when I can remember my Grandmother holding many similar teas for her friends. I can always remember those afternoons...the air filled with delicate perfumes and I can also recall the swishing of their silk dresses. Their chatter and laughter rang round the room. I also remember that alot of the excitement was in the preparation...besides the planning and baking..the sorting of the china to use and the choice of the cloth. The cloth was always an embroidered one..I still have the cloths. There are lilacs around the edge of one and another is covered in wildflowers. They are real works of art. Embroidery was something that I can remember all the ladies doing...they swopped patterns and seemed to sew on everything. I am lucky enough to have tablecloths, pillowcases, cushion covers and tablemats that many of these ladies made. For many years work like this was not appreciated and it's only now with the love of vintage items that they seem to be coming back into vogue. I'm afraid that I'm one of these people that doesn't follow fashion in as such as I like what I like and if other people don't like it..well so be it. I'm proud to say I love old cups and saucers, pretty china, silver and crystal. A minimalist I will never be..lol.
Just to let you know, I have finished the cottage cards. After blogging yesterday my first task was to estimate the cat damage. Well it ended in 3 cards being binned and 6 having to be redone. Not as bad as I had at first thought. They are all now finished thankgoodness and are now in the done box. I will photograph some of them to share with you later in the week.
It has come to that time where the coffee is calling..so until tommorrow..take care and happy crafting.

Keep warm and button up

Todays card is from Joanna Sheens House Mouse cdrom. It is a triple crom with so many wonderful images and backing paper, as well as many other paper crafting ideas. This image is from the christmas cd..(disc 3) and comes from the winter section. I just love this image with the sweet little mouse in his bobble hat. I have matted the image onto a die cut card layer..this was using the Loopy Lace Ovals die range from Tonic. The border is made using the matching punch from Tonic. I have to say that the tonic dies and punches have been a pleasure to use..they cut the 280gsm card with no problem. The backing paper is from the same section as the main image. I have decorated the card using buttons.
I love this image so much because it manages to remind me of winter when I was little. There was a long line of knitting Aunties. They would be knitting bobble hats (with over sized bobbles), scarves and mittens for everyone. It was the days that the mittens had a string that connected them through the arms of your coat. I still have a pair of mittens on a string that I was given when I was little..I hang them up now as a christmas decoration and as a reminder of childhood memories. Knitting has really made a come back and lots of fabulous new ranges are on the market. I can knit but I do so much more cardmaking and papercraft these days. I still love sewing and embroidery and do some on a regular basis. I have a collection of cushion covers that I have made over the years but I am yet to use them. That's because of little cat paws that wouldn't leave them alone. I've also made lots of pictures..both embroidery and cross stitch. They all seem to feature different furry animals..anyone would think that I adored cats and dogs..lol. I have a collection of embroidery that was created by my grandmother and great grandmother. It includes some wonderful tablecloths with wild flowers sewn all over them. I use them on the table when I give a ladies afternoon tea. They are so beautiful, reminding you of times gone by. This was a time when most ladies did embroidery to decorate their homes. In my family all the ladies lived on farms..working alongside the men with the animals. My gran was in charge of the pigs and the poultry. Hens, ducks, geese, peacocks, pheasants and turkeys were all her department and she earned quite a bit selling eggs, live birds and birds dressed ready for the table. With the pigs she dealt with them mostly at farrowing time..my grandad said they behaved better for her. I can remember many a night her sitting with a sow ready to deliver. My gran always took her chair, radio, and flask and stayed until it was all over.
It's been so strange writing this blog..memories can flooding back..and it's been so nice to share them..alot of people have contacted me as sharing my memories has made them remember things from their own childhood. It has become a wonderful journey. Well the coffee and crafting calls..so have a good day, take care and happy crafting.

Live your Life with Butterflies

First thing today, I want to say a HUGE thankyou to every one who has stayed with me on my journey with this blog. I couldn't believe it that I reached 1000 views. I know that compared to alot of other blogs 1000 doesn't seem a lot but to me...it's amazing. I remember when I first began I was so chuffed when I reached 100..so to get to this point has blown my mind. So thankyou all. I have had some really lovely messages and the feedback has been great. So now the next target will be 2000..it seems to be another world away..but we'll carry on.
Todays card is something a little different from the christmas cards that I've been making lately. It was made for a cardswop on a forum that I'm a member of. The theme was butterflies. I've used my new tonic dies and punches. The stamp is from Inkylicious. The butterflies are from Robert Addams All Occasion die range. They are so delicate and there are 3 different types in the set. I cut them out of white card and then painted them with H20s. There are 3 different colours on each butterfly. I painted them to tone in with the background card. The tonic dies were a pleasure to use..they cut really easily and all the little hearts that were the waste make a great embellishment in their own right. I've also added some embossed paper behind the die cut. To me it's a really happy card and would be a useful card to send for any occasion even a I'm thinking of you today card. Sometimes it's nice to send a card to someone you haven't been in touch with for a while..just to say hello. And lets be honest..it's so nice to receive mail that isn't a bill or a piece of junk.
Well as it's Friday my job for today will be to photograph the cards that I have made this last week. I always aim to upload all my photos on one day and list what I've used to make them. I get asked so many times where my dies have come from, where to buy them..and I like to be able to answer these questions..after all to me crafting is all about sharing. So coffee first and then photo time..I hope you are having a good day and are looking forward to the weekend...take care and happy crafting

Ditzy days, cats and cards

Today card is an example of how not to take a photo for your blog..lol I was in the middle of removing my nail varnish and suddenley decided to take some photos. As you can see my thumb decided that it wanted to be immortalised in the shot. That's the case when you have too many things floating round your head and you've got a list in your head of things you want to do. So instead of hiding my stupidity..I thought that I'd share the fact that I'm just as ditzy as I sometimes sound!
But now to the card. It's made using the Father Christmas cdrom by Crafters Companion. It's a wonderful cd showing many of the iconic images from the film. For some reason I adore this back view of Santa. There is something magical about it and I have made many cards using this particular design. When we were children what would we have given to have had this view of Santa? For an embellishment I have used some die cut snowflakes. I have also added some jewels onto the snowflakes. And of course I just had to add some glitter onto Santas coat.
I'm still playing with my Grand Calibur and having a great time. I have been cutting more mats with the Tonic dies. And they are truly fabulous. Clean cuts every time...and when you're diecutting..that's what you want but don't always get. That's why on this blog I will always be honest..we only have a certain amount of money available for craft goodies and it's important to share what we find to be really good or as is sometimes the case..really bad.
One thing that I can really recommend is JB Crafting Supplies...for good service, quality and choice. If you ever need any craft goodies pop along and speak to Julie..there are links on here that will take you straight there..and have a look.
The cats are driving me slowly crazy today. Back and to out of the window and round and round the computer. Jeff..our youngest cat is chocolate crazy..if you have it, he can smell it at twenty paces and will hound you without mercy. Jeff is a black boy who is convinced that he is a panther. And by the size of his feet may well be growing that way. He loves all my lady cats and gets a smack most days from one of them. All my ladies are very opinionated girls. My ginger tom..called Icabod loves a dominant lady. The boss lady cat was an old girl called Pyewacket who sadly passed away last year and he was heartbroken. It has taken him a while..looking around all the house ladies and now his heart has settled on Twinkle. She is a black and white who arrived with brain damage and the temper to end everything. Well since she arrived  Twinkle has hated everyone but now she has given in  and now loves our Icabod. She would never let another animal touch her before, but now Iccy is allowed to wash her and lie with her. It's a very wonderful thing. And she slaps him every now and then...so he's also really happy..lol It takes all sorts.
Wherever you are and whatever you are doing..take care and happy crafting.

Fawn in the snow

Todays card is from Joanna Sheens Giordano Christmas cdrom. The backing paper is from an earlier Joanna cd and the embellishmentis made from the Signature die range and the Tattered Lace range. I put the embellishments on and then painted and glittered them.
Well it finally happened at 10.30 last night. It arrived. The it being my new Grand Calibur. I was so excited..I have only managed to have a little play and it was fab. I'm still trying to remember the plate order. It won't take long..I got to the point with my Cuttlebug that I didn't have to think. I have bought my first A4 embossing folder and it was great. I can see a hole arriving in my purse as I spot more embossing folders that I would like. I also bought some tonic dies..I've had a go and they were fabulous..a clean cut after only one pass through the machine. There are quite a few makes out there that I often want to throw through the window...you end up making multiple passes and adding more shims and it still isn't a perfect cut. Not the case with the Signature die range or the Tattered Lace. Nor it seems with Tonic.
So I'm off to play. The weather here in Snowdonia is glorious..all the cats are outside. No doubt trying to terrorize the local geese..it's a quest that they are going to lose. The geese will put up with it for so long and then you will see cats fleeing. An angry goose is enough to make anyone run. I hope that you have a great day..take care and happy crafting.
