Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Time to return

Hello everyone..I hope that you are all well and will forgive me for going absent for such a while. Thank you all so much for all the messages, emails and notes...it has meant so much to me to realize how much you have enjoyed my blog. I felt that everything was changing..with most of my design teams closing and everything else that was going on..I just needed some time to think about what I needed and where I wanted to be. I can't say that I've managed to reach any fantastic conclusion but have realized that crafting is such a huge part of my life..I don't want to give it up and I also love to share what I do..so here I am back again on my journey...and hopefully you'll join me.

And now for my first make on my journey. The card above was one I made for a Clarity Worldwide Challenge on facebook. Even when I was supposed to be having a break..the need to craft often crept in. The challenge was in March and the theme was 'A man's world'. I began by thinking about what to do and remembered an elderly Uncle who had a thing for kipper ties. And the more I thought about it..the more I giggled and then just had to make a card that featured them..lol. I have to admit that my Uncle had some really risky ones but even I thought that they would be going a little far..even for me. So I made the ties using some of my Clarity stamps which was the rule of the challenge and I was so amazed when I won. I was so excited you would have laughed at me doing a happy chair dance..lol

I am so happy that today the sun is trying to shine here in the mountains today. We have had quite a few days of torrential rain, with the wind blowing a hooley. And I have had to live with a cottage full of sulking cats..lol. They all seem to blame me when the weather is anything but perfect. Most of them are outside today..in fact the only ones that are in are Tank and Nicademus. I have a collection of cuddly bears on the couch and Nicademus has made himself a nest among them. It can come as quite a shock to anyone sitting on the couch when he suddenly decides to move...you can't see him at first because he blends in so well.He has been the cause of quite a few exclamations..lol. Tankie is sat to my left..she has decided that it is her right to be by my side all the time. So far she has managed to get covered in coffee, glitter and acrylic paint but she doesn't seem to mind to much.

Well the coffee is calling and then I will be ding some painting...no doubt I will be sharing it in the next few weeks. Sparkle has just arrived...he must have heard the coffee alarm going off..lol. So until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting...it's lovely to be back.

The Crafting Musketeers...The Final Challenge

Here I am..the first post of 2017..and I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and thank you for all your friendship and support during the last year. Things are changing here so fast that I think it's time to bring you all up to speed. I have so enjoyed being a part of many design teams over the past few years and I am quite upset to share that a lot of them are closing down. The Gruffies and Guests closed first and in the last few weeks Left of Center has posted it's final challenge. Today is the final challenge of The Crafting Musketeers. I have so enjoyed working with all these wonderful crafters and have found them all to be a never ending source of inspiration. I can only wish them all the best for the future. So all this has left me with the big question..what am I going to do now. When I began this blog I was a total novice and the whole journey has been a steep learning curve and I have to say that I've loved every moment. With this in mind,I've decided to continue on my journey and see where it takes me..and I hope that you will continue to share this journey with me. The next couple of weeks, I intend to formulate a plan forward..so please bear with me..but the crafting happiness will continue.

So to the final challenge for The Crafting Musketeers. The theme is Party time and will run for the month of January. I chose to make a new year card. If you get the chance, please consider entering a card..the final prize is fantastic. If you are interested, pop over to the Crafting Musketeers blog and check out all the details. The prize is one that I would love..but as a design team member, we're not allowed to..lol..so I hope that one of you will enter for a chance to win.

I can't believe that in 3 days I will be taking down the decorations. I had a lovely quiet Christmas and felt that I was touched by it's magic. A time to remember the happy times and to be thankful for the years that I got to share with Henry.I am so blessed for my friends who visited and helped make the time extra special. All the cats had a fabulous time..they are definitely rounder than normal..it was amazing the amount of treats that they received. I am having to hide the Dreamies though..too many sends them all loopie..lol. I was so impressed that they didn't tackle the tree..it remains a thing of beauty..for the first year ever. I was so used to having to wire it to a wall and to lie in bed listening to the ping and smash of the baubles hitting the floor..but not this year. At the moment most of the furry beasts are outside enjoying a dry day. I feel as if I should get some paint out..just to tease them but I have some work to do.

Well the coffee is calling and then I must try and get my head together. I have had a scrapbook ordered and as of this moment..not a clue where I'm going with it..lol. A couple of days thought and planning will hopefully get me there. So until next time..take care and happy crafting

Left of Center.....New Challenge

Today's card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at Left of Center Creative Challenges. A new challenge has just begun and will run for the coming week. The theme for this weeks challenge is Fair Maidens. As always you have the option of going LOC...for details about that please check out the Left of Center blog. We are so lucky this week to have been sponsored by the fabulous team over at MoonFlower designs. I chose to work with ths beautiful image of an Oriental maiden. The background was created using my distress inks and a stamp. The image was coloured with my H2Os..and even though it doesn't show in the photo has a lovely shimmer to it. I do hope that you will pop over to  MoonFlower Designs and take a look at the beautiful and unusual images that they have available.

I got quite a shock today when I came onto Blogger..it had all changed and I've still got to take some time and work it all out. And you all know that computers aren't really my thing. Ever since I began this blog, t has been a learning journey and I'm so glad to say I still love it. I haven't been blogging much in the last couple of weeks purely because I've been knee deep in paint, glitter, snowmen and holly. I'm trying to get all my Christmas makes finished...but there seems to be no end to it all..lol.My own Christmas cards are slipping further down the list as people keep ringing for other things. I have the feeling that I may be all glittered out by Christmas. That will probably not last for long though..you know how much I love the coloured stuff..lol.

It's certainly got colder here in the mountains. The cats are all out at the moment..making the most of it being dry. They are all in come dinner time and the biggest cat flap in the world is now closed after 6 p.m. And they are all horrified by the fact. Gannie has been shocked by quite a few things lately..especially the frost. Being one of the youngest he had never seen white frost before and goodness me but he had a lot to say about it..lol. The first time he went out and saw it and put his paw on it..he ran back to the window sill and spent half an hour telling me. He then spent the rest of the day going in and out checking to see if it had gone. Goodness only knows what he will be like f it snows..lol. Sparkle and I were talking, remembering the first time that Icabod saw snow...it was so funny..he was trying to get from one side of the road to the other without touching any snow. He would take a giant leap and then disappear in the snow..only to reappear and leap again. When he finally made it home , there was no going out for him until the white stuff had all gone..lol.

Well the coffee is calling and then it will be back to the paint. I've about 10 projects all on the go and all at various stages..so whilst one is drying, it means I can continue on another. The hardest thing is keeping the cat paws out of the wet paint. I'm sure that word gets out and they all come running. My work table is becoming a beautiful rainbow of paw prints..I may let it sit though and put a layer of varnish over it..a one off piece of art..lol. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.

Left of Center.........New Challenge

Today's card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at Left of center Creative Challenges. A new challenge has just begun and will run for the next week. The theme for this challenge is 'Inspired by...'..so a great chance to let your imaginations run wild. Our sponsor for ths challenge is the fabulous team over at Alicia Bel.

yet again I had a weekend with very little internet connection. It seems to be getting to be a regular occurrence..but what can you do. With this in mind I worked my little fingers until they hurt..colouring a huge pile of designs...and I still have a pile to work through.
I had a lovely surprise on Friday night. I had visitors..Pretty and his girlfriend...I will have to find her a name on the blog.It was so lovely to see them and the cats were made up to have so much fuss. Raven was the funniest..she has always had a thing for Pretty..and goodness me ..you could tell how she had missed him. No sense out of her all evening...she was only interested in Pretty.lol. And Nicademus was very taken with the lady...he seemed to think that he was in the perfect place and wouldn't share his space with anyone. It was such a nice night..catching up with all the news. I have to say the next day I had a room full of cats who thought that they were hard done to because I didn't spend all my time giving them attention. You can tell that the weather is getting colder..just by the number of cats that are on the bed when I go. I think that they are all waiting for the electric blanket to go on..lol.

Well the coffee is calling and then it will be back to work. I have a feeling that the glitter may be on it's way out..lol. I had been hoping to photograph some new work but it's so dark here in the mountains..the clouds are down..it will have to wait until tomorrow. Of course..the only way to brighten the day is to get the glitter out...it always puts a smile on my face. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.

Left of Center...New Challenge

Finally..I'm here. After a weekend of fighting with Bt..they have finally decided to let the village onto the internet. They have played with every ones connection and we've all been on and off like yoyos and yet they demand the same money here as they do for people with a full connection. Well that's my moan for the week..lol.

Today's picture is a design team make for the wonderful team over at Left of Center Creative Challenges. A new challenge has just begun and will run for the coming week. The theme for this weeks challenge is Fairytales and as usual you have the choice of going LOC. For all details of this, please check out the LOC blog. We are so lucky this week to have been sponsored by the fabulous team over at A Day for Daisies. I just adore their images and always find it so hard picking which image to work with. I finally decided to work with this image which is called a kiss for my unicorn.

For this picture, I began by creating a background using my Brushos. I then coloured the image using a mixture of my H2Os, Inktense pencils and my promarkers. I added pearl embellishments using the Imagination crafts..Just Pearls. I was really impressed how easy they are to use. I finally added some glitter..which you know by now I just had to do...lol

The weather here in the mountains is getting colder by the day. Nearly time to get the vests out. The cats love it because it's dry at least and are all out. We had some hail yesterday and that just proved just how quickly the cats can get home when they want to.It was like a cat train coming in through the window. I've had a lot of work come in over the weekend..so I think it's got to the point where I may need to make a list and just work my way down it. I've also had a major sort out..to help with all the work that has come in. The cold weather makes my legs not want to move very far at all..so I needed to ensure that my paints, pens and papers are all close by. Then I can put my legs up and work away. Sorting all that out was a job all on it's own..but I'm really pleased that It's all done.

Well the coffee s calling and then it will be time to get on with some work. Sparkle has gone to hospital to see the consultant who did his operation. I will be on edge until I know what he said. Fingers crossed that everything goes well. I will be back in a bit though with another design team make..so until then...take care and happy crafting

31 Days of Halloween....Day 23

Todays image is from the amazing SLS Lines and I thought that she should have a place in my 31 Days challenge. I just think that she looks so calm.I have coloured her with my promarkers and mounted the image onto some black card. Every time I make an image and have coloured it, finished it and have photographed it, I always look at it after a while and become aware of what I would have done differently. I think that next time I will use my paints and use some gems on her as well. I think that forms part of why I love digital images so much..you can always print another out and go again.

I have to say it's fairly cold here in the mountains..so much I have a blanket on my legs..plus cat of course..lol...and a shawl round my shoulders. It does seem to be coming to the point in the year when the biggest cat flap in the world will have to be closed. All that means is that I then become the gatekeeper and spend most of my time opening and shutting it. The cats always seem to wait until it's shut and then come and tap on it..lol.

I managed to get lots of painting done yesterday, so I was really pleased..but still have more to do. The hardest thing is doing the details due to all the cat bypass that keeps happening over me. If I was sat here doing nothing..they wouldn't come near..but should I get my watercolours out..there they all are.

Well the coffee is calling and I'll be back tomorrow with my next make. So until then..take care and happy crafting.

A Snowflakes Promise...New Challenge

Here I am again. This time with a design team make for the wonderful team over at A Snowflakes Promise. A new challenge has just begun and will run for the coming fortnight. The theme is anything goes with the option of seasons. As you can see I have chosen this wonderful little fox and gone with a Christmas card.I coloured the image with my promarkers and then mounted it onto some green glitter card. I added this to the card base to which I had added some green card and then some Christmas paper from my stash. I added a die cut greeting to some more of the glitter card. I finally added a die cut bauble which I had mounted onto a different glitter card. You know me and glitter..lol. Someone visited yesterday and asked did I know that I was covered in glitter...I just laughed and said that it was the season for it. I remember once going round a supermarket, getting really strange looks and then I realised that I was covered in glitter. The original disco diva..lol.

Over at A Snowflakes Promise. we were so lucky to have been sponsored by the fabulous team over at Oddball Art. I hope that you will pop over and take a look at all the wonderful images that are available.

I'm sat here wondering what to do next. I have a few projects waiting to be finished..so the paint may well be coming out. No doubt that means that the cats will be finding their way back in. It's as if word gets out..the paint is out and then the pawprints start twitching to get into it..lol. The only two in at the moment is Raven and Gannie. Rave..my little homebody is asleep on my legs..like an automatic heater..lol. Gannie is doing what he does best..filling his face with cat biscuits.

Well the coffee is calling again. As a caffeine addict, I need refuelling at regular intervals. Someone once asked me if I was really such a coffee head and I said of course. It's what keeps me going..I've been drinking it for years..and I don't even like myself when I run out..lol. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting

31 Days of Halloween...Day 3

Todays design is one that you will see a variety of during the 31 days of Halloween. For those of you that know me, will know how much I adore these candy skulls. They decorate the sign for my cottage, adorn the walls of my parlour and even make an appearance in my bathroom. So it was inevitable that I will include some in my 31 days challenge. I coloured this one with my promarkers. All the projects that I have made for the 31 days I am putting them altogether into a book..so at the end of the challenge I will have a memory of this my first 31 day challenge. This candy skull is from the fabulous SLS Lines.

I am so excited to be a part of this challenge and over the next couple of weeks will be sharing my own memories of Halloween. I will of course be visiting all the other blogs who are participating as soon as BT lets me. I have been looking but am desperate to comment but BT and my internet connection are so pathetic it took me 4 hours yesterday just to blog. I would like to thank everyone who has commented in the last couple of days..I am on my way to your blogs...just keep your fingers crossed that BT play fair..lol.

Now for my memories of Halloween. When I was a little girl my Grandmother was a great believer in Halloween and would always celebrate the day. Back in those days, Halloween as it is now didn't exist to most people but it did in our house. My Grandmother always called it All Hallows and always had a gathering of friends. It was a time to get together and remember all those who had gone before and to celebrate the lives that we had. I remember all the days baking to get ready for the night. There were no pumpkins to carve but we carved out swedes to hold a candle. Late at night there was always a bonfire to be sat round and music being played..a time to sing the old songs. Somehow those nights were always special and the veil between those past and us was somehow lifted. It all felt so special and so right..so natural. I can remember that a lot of my friends never had anything like we did and I suppose that they thought that we were all a little wierd. But my Grandmother didn't care. She had grown up with the magical night of All Hallows and wanted to ensure that I could experience the closeness and memories of that special night. I suppose this was where my love of Halloween began and I was able to share it with Henry for the too short time he was with us.

Well the coffee is calling and then I will be off to try and comment some of the fabulous blogs that are out there sharing the love of all things Halloween. The cats are all outside enjoying the sunny day here in the mountains. We are all for a noisy couple of days, as Twinkle has begun calling...all I can say is that I'm glad she is the only one to do it..she makes enough noise on her own..lol. The object of her fancy this time seems to be Simon..bless him he has no idea what is going on...he just walks round with a hunted look on his face..lol. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.

JB-Crafting Supplies....Garden Birds

Today's cards are design team makes for the wonderful JB-Crafting Supplies. I have been lucky enough to get to work with this fantastic set of stamps from Hobby Art. This is the garden birds set. For these cards, I stamped the images with my Versafine ink pad and then coloured the images with my Lyra watercolours. So many of my friends are into bird watching..either out and about or just at their own bird tables..so there's lots of scope for making cards for them.

One thing that I want to do is to use the same stamps but make the birds really funky and add a humorous quote...I will have to have a go. On these cards it is exactly the same bird..just coloured differently. On the stamp set itself there are three different birds as well as flowers, branches and leaves. If you should need any crafting supplies..please pop over to Julie at JB-Crafting Supplies..if she doesn't have it, she will source it for you.

The sun is shining here in the mountains and most of the cats are outside. The kittens of course aren't allowed out yet...I don't think the village is ready yet for the tabby terrorists..lol. My friend Sparkle was putting a piece of board up for me and had far more help than he really wanted. Nosey was really happy sorting through Sparkles screws and tools and Simon decided that he didn't want the piece of board where it was placed and proceeded to try and dig the carpet up from underneath. There is never a dull moment here.

Well the coffee is calling and Sparkle has just put the kettle on. I am feeling rather spoilt..lol. I am going to be water colouring this afternoon..a vague landscape to go behind another picture.I'm quite enjoying working with the watercolours at the moment ..it seems ages since I have. I can now smell the coffee..so until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting.

JB-Crafting Supplies..Using the Stash

Todays cards are design team makes for the wonderful JB-Crafting Supplies. It is a one stop shop for all your crafting and sewing needs. The card above uses a very cute image of a little girl. which is a Nellie Snellen stamp. I have coloured her with my promarkers. The card below is made using a stamp from the Crafters Companion, Brambly Hedge range. For full details on both these cards..please pop over to the JB-Crafting Supplies blog.

Well today would have been Henrys 20th birthday. The two years since he passed seem to have gone so quickly. I miss him every day and there seems to be a huge hole in my life. He filled my life with art, music and laughter...he was and always will be my treasure. I know he loved the fact that I blogged..so I continue to do so to honour him.

I did have to smile this morning when the first thing that I saw on the news was that storm Henry was passing through Wales. He loved the wild weather..so it feels right somehow that the wind is raging through the valley. All the cats have decided to stop in and are scattered around the parlour. I'm hoping to do some sewing today..now the parlour has been moved round. I will share what I've made with you after.

Well the coffee is calling and then I'm going to cut some patchwork out. Goodness only knows what the kittens will make of the sewing machine. We shall have to see. I've already decided to make liver and onions for dinner. With mashed potatoes, green beans and onion gravy. Pudding is already made..gooseberry crumble and there's custard to go with it. At least I feel a little organised..lol. So until next time..take care and happy crafting

Left of Center.....New Challenge

Today's card is actually yesterdays but BT just weren't up to playing fair. I may have the card all ready for blogging and lots to tell you...but when BT don't let me have internet..there is not a lot that I can do. A new challenge has just begun over at the fantastic Left of Center Creative Challenges. As always the challenge will run for the next week and this weeks theme is 'Use Lots of Black'

We are lucky enough to have been sponsored by the wonderful team over at Delicious Doodles. I chose to work with this wonderful image called Loves Faded Memory. As many of you know I do have a passion for skulls and just loved this image. I have coloured it with my promarkers..the shading on the image really helps and gives great shaping to the image.

I just love all the images over at Delicious Doodles and always enjoy working with them. I hope that you will pop over and take a look...they are always a great source of inspiration.

I've had a right couple of days with the kittens. Last week they managed to get hold of 15 toilet rolls and play andrex puppies...the entire upper floor was covered in toilet paper. They had a right time. Following that Fiesty fell down the toilet..it was so funny...she won't be doing that again in a hurry...lol. They are all growing rapidly...as they should with the amount that they eat. Every night they now all trip to bed... as soon as they know that I'm going through my nightly routine..they follow me. I can't even remember the last time that I got to go to the bathroom on my own..lol.

At the moment they are causing havoc as I write. They all love to sit on the pen and watch the television. I have to say that they seem to love Time Team..I think that they love all the digging. As I write, I'm thinking about what to cook for dinner. I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to do some brisket..long and slow. I'm going to do it with Yorkshire pudding, mash potatoes, carrots and green beans with gravy. The nice thing is that I will use whatsoever is left I will make a meat and potato pie for another day. It used to be a favourite of Henry and his friend Pretty. Thinking about cooking..I seem to do a lot that my Grandmother did..a lot of spot the meat dishes and many meals made with leftovers. I'm so thankful that she taught me to cook..I save a fair amount of money using her recipes.

Well the coffee is calling and then I about to start some new card making projects...for a change..lol. The weather here is fine..no rain but goodness me it's cold. But not cold enough yet for my Icelandic socks. My friend Sunshine bought me them from Iceland and they are beautiful...just waiting for it to be colder..lol. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.

JB-Crafting Supplies....Sheep in Sunshine

Todays card is a design team make for the great company of JB-Crafting Supplies. I should have done it  yesterday but BT were not playing . The card above has been made using the stamp set from Hobby Art featuring the sheep which I intend to use on my Christmas cards, but I can think of so many times that I could use this image. For this card, I began creating the background oval. I drew some grass and flowers and added a little sparkle. I coloured it with my copics. I stamped out the sheep, the hat and the sunglasses..they were also coloured with my copics. I then cut them all out and added them to the oval. I then mounted it onto some dark blue card along with some backing paper from my stash.

It's a strange day today. I had the nurse first thing for my bloods and then I had a delivery from Sainsburys. I have done a basket comparison with Tesco and very surprisingly Sainsburys came in a lot cheaper. So I ordered from there. The biggest difference was the cat food and as you can guess..I buy rather alot. I'm so lucky that I don't have fussy cats. I know so many people that do have and have heard so many tales of cats pulling faces when confronted with certain brands. I think my cats work on the theory that before they came here they had to search for food..so now it's given at regular points through the day..they'd better eat it..lol. I also think that competition helps...if they don't eat it..some one else might..lol Flossie seems to be growing bigger daily..I don't think that she will be that long until the big moment...bless her. Just keep your fingers crossed that it all goes well. I just worry what happened to her before she came here. She is so loving and desperate for fuss. Sometimes I wish that I had a good leg to kick people with. How dare they just dump her.

Well the coffee is calling...today seems to have gone on forever..it must just be one of those days..lol. It's fish, new potatoes and salad for dinner. One of my favourites. My menus will be changing as the weather gets colder. The slow cooker will be dusted off and back on again..my friends laugh how I play spot the meat..I throw every type of vegetable I can get my hands on in...and a very small amount of meat..lol. It makes it go so much further.  So until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting.

Jiggery Makery.....Flower time

Today's makes are all design team makes for the fabulous Jiggery Makery. I did try to share all this with you all but BT were just not playing. I don't know whether it's the influx of second homers that affects my broadbrand so badly but Friday night can be the worst time ever. For my makes today I have used the flowers that Adele has designed. The apron reminds me of one that I had made for me in the 70s..it was made out of denim and a floral material. It takes me back.

For my next make I decided to make a handbag. I decided to keep to the same colours because I thought that they worked well together. And for my final make I decided to use a different one of Adele's flowers.

Both of these bags were made using different handbag templates which I have had in my stash for ages..and which I do forget about..until I have a tidy up..lol. Both of the handbags are suitable to be used as gift bags as they actually work as bags and not just fronts. I think they would look lovely as wedding favours..you could make them to match in with the colours of the wedding.

The weather has certainly changed. Today it's raining and windy...so really just a normal day here in the mountains. I always think that one of the reasons I became a crafter was because it rains just so much here...lol. All the cats are inside and choosing their special places to relax, apart from Rave who is determined to sit on the studio roof between showers. She has been in and out like a yo you since breakfast. I'm sure it's because she is being nosey.

Well the coffee is calling and I think that over this weekend I'm going to do some drawing...something that I haven't done for a while.I will share it if it works out. This afternoon I will be watching the youngsters Great North Run. A little baby that I held in my arms and that Henry fed his weetabix to is running. I can only wish her luck, knowing that Henry will be looking down on her. So until next time..I hope that you have a great weekend..no matter what the weather...take care and happy crafting.

Gruffies and Guests....Making it Fruity

Todays card is a design team make for the fabulous team over at the Gruffies and Guests. This challenge blog features only creations using a Gruffie, Happy Hopper or House Mouse images. As you all know by now, I just adore all things House Mouse related and have a very special love of the Happy Hoppers. I can't remember a time when I didn't love rabbits and the Happy Hoppers have just the right amount of cute
.

For this months challenge we are lucky enough to have been sponsored by the wonderful team over at Dis Digis. They will be providing this months wonderful prize.

The theme for this months challenge is..Make it Fruity. For my card, I picked this lovely image of a happy hopper enjoying some watermelon. This image is from the Gruffies and Happy Hoppers cdrom brought to us crafters by the wonderful Joanna Sheen. As with all the house mouse images, the gruffies and happy hoppers are brought to us via the paint brush of Ellen Jareckie. I would be happy if I only had 10% of this ladies talent.

On my card, I first mounted the backing paper and the image onto some burgundy card. I created a border with the same. On the sheet that I printed out the greeting was in a watermelon slice shape, so of course I had to use it. I die cut some flowers and coloured them to match with my promarkers. I finally added a green ribbon.

It's a lovely day here in the mountains today. I have to say that the cats as a group are all sulking. My friend was picking up some extra catfood for me and was supposed to bring it last night but things happened and he's bringing it today. Consequently there was no wet food for breakfast...so they are all sulking , sat round the food tray..lol. I wouldn't mind but this is the first time in ages that I have ran out of food and they also have bowls of dry cat food downstairs..and if you saw them all you would know they are not starving..but try telling them..lol. Even the new lady Flossie is having a moan at me. Jeffrey is not well and he is also complaining on the wait for the food. He went out last night and must have got into yet another fight. He has been bitten on one of his front legs and is currently limping around. He brought his leg to me to sort out and as I was examining him he was purring..bless him. I think it will take a couple of days to go down and now he just smells of TCP....the antiseptic..I must add..lol

Well the coffee is calling and still my pile of work is sitting to be worked through. I hope that the weather is being kind to you wherever you are and that you have a great weekend. If you get the chance, don't forget to pop over to the challenge at Gruffies and Guests. The other members of the design team have created some wonderful items..well worth a look. So until next time...take care and happy crafting.

Jiggery Makery .........My favourite ladies

Hello again. I'm here again as a member of the fabulous design team at Jiggery Makery. I have decided for today to share 4 of my favourite designs brought to us crafters by the very talented Adele. As I've said many times, I love the variety of ladies that are available as digital designs from Adele at Jiggery Makery. There is always something sassy about the ladies and I love being able to work with them. If you get the chance , why not pop over to the Jiggery Makery facebook page and take a look at the wonderful creations that the new members of the design team have made. They are fabulous.
There is definitely some wonderful shoes...I love the thought of very high heels and I've promised myself that when I have some spare money, I'm going to buy myself a pair of the highest possible just to wear in my wheelchair..lol. I would never be able to walk in them anyway but at least I will be able to give the impression that I would. Even when I could walk I couldn't wear heels. It didn't help much that I am 6 foot tall. And I have been 6 foot since I was 12..so for many years I towered over my boyfriends..even without the heels
Well time for another coffee and then I will ready to hear everyones views after the village meeting. So I hope that you all have a great weekend and I'll be back tomorrow. Until take care and happy crafting.
