Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. JB-Crafting Supplies....Garden Birds

Today's cards are design team makes for the wonderful JB-Crafting Supplies. I have been lucky enough to get to work with this fantastic set of stamps from Hobby Art. This is the garden birds set. For these cards, I stamped the images with my Versafine ink pad and then coloured the images with my Lyra watercolours. So many of my friends are into bird watching..either out and about or just at their own bird tables..so there's lots of scope for making cards for them.

One thing that I want to do is to use the same stamps but make the birds really funky and add a humorous quote...I will have to have a go. On these cards it is exactly the same bird..just coloured differently. On the stamp set itself there are three different birds as well as flowers, branches and leaves. If you should need any crafting supplies..please pop over to Julie at JB-Crafting Supplies..if she doesn't have it, she will source it for you.

The sun is shining here in the mountains and most of the cats are outside. The kittens of course aren't allowed out yet...I don't think the village is ready yet for the tabby terrorists..lol. My friend Sparkle was putting a piece of board up for me and had far more help than he really wanted. Nosey was really happy sorting through Sparkles screws and tools and Simon decided that he didn't want the piece of board where it was placed and proceeded to try and dig the carpet up from underneath. There is never a dull moment here.

Well the coffee is calling and Sparkle has just put the kettle on. I am feeling rather spoilt..lol. I am going to be water colouring this afternoon..a vague landscape to go behind another picture.I'm quite enjoying working with the watercolours at the moment ..it seems ages since I have. I can now smell the coffee..so until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting.
