Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. A Step in the Dark.......New Challenge

Here I am again with another design team make. This make is for the fabulous team over at A Step in the Dark. This is a facebook challenge and I hope that you will pop over and join in the fun. A new challenge has just begun and will run for the next month..as always it just has to be a dark side make. All details can be found on the facebook page.

For this challenge we are lucky enough to have been sponsored by the fabulous team over at Ikes Art. I just had to work with this image of the saucy fairy...she had on the killer heels that I never get to wear..lol

I'm quite amazed that I have managed to get this blog post up..with all the trouble that BT are giving us here in the village. All over Christmas we have had hardly any decent internet. If it went any slower it would be on stop..oh hold on a minute..it does that as well. I'm building up to yet another complaint. All I have seen over the Christmas break is adverts for BT and how good their service is...what a joke. Perhaps if you live in London or some of the other larger cities..but here in the country..they don't seem to bother. The other thing that gets me is that we have to pay the same amount for the slowest speed in the country.

Well the coffee is calling again and then it will be time to go downstairs and cook the dinner. It's roast lamb tonight and all the trimmings. I can smell it cooking and it's driving me mad..lol.So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.

  1. Super stunning and another fabulous sentiment that made me chuckle :-)
I know what you mean about BT - here in Greece I have just received an enormous 'end of year' electricity bill and for the last 3 days have had numerous power cuts !!!!!! Hey-ho :-(
