Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. The Crafting Musketeers....New Challenge

Today's card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at the Crafting Musketeers. Anew challenge has just begun and will run for the month of January. The theme for this month is New Beginnings. I chose to work with this wonderful image from Joanna Sheen's Furry Friends cdrom. It features the fantastic photographs of the very talented Rachael Hale.I just adore this image of the cat in the hat and thought that it would be a perfect New Year card. And let us all hope that the new beginning of the year brings us all some good times.

We are lucky enough this month to have been sponsored by the fantastic company of Crafty Sentiments. I hope that you will pop over to their website and take a look at all the wonderful things that they have on offer.

I feel very lucky today that the weather is being a little kinder than normal. This morning I watched the mists rolling in over the mountains..but now they have all faded away as quickly as they arrived. The cats have dashed out to make the most of the dry for once at least it seems to be very peaceful in the work corner.

Well the coffee is ever and I will be back soon with another design team make. Wherever you are I hope that the weather is being kind to until later...take care and happy crafting.
