Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center....A Black and White Christmas

Today's card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at Left of Center Creative Challenges. I am really enjoying being on this team and the other members are a constant source of inspiration to me. A new challenge is just about to begin and the theme for this week is 'A Black and White Christmas'. I have to say that I have never contemplated doing a black and white Christmas card but I really enjoyed it. Why not have a go and come and join in the fun?

We are lucky to have been sponsored by the great team over at Stitchy Bears. The selection of digi images that are available are amazing. I always have such fun choosing what image to work with...and seeing the black reindeer image..I knew it was the one for me.

I seem to have been in the middle of a pile of orders to finish and I'm glad to say that I've finished. Now I just have a pile of the next to do projects to finish..lol. I have a plan this weekend to reclaim my parlour from the Christmas glittery distractions...what I really mean is the pile of Christmas papers and embellishments..lol. At the moment the kittens are fast asleep and not trying to play with all the Christmas ribbons. Little Fiesty has a bit of a thing for ribbons and they seem to find them out from wherever I try to hide them..lol.

Well the coffee is calling and I think that a good caffeine hit is needed. It is an easy dinner tonight..we are having fish...which I adore.. The weather here in the mountains seems to be fine except it's gone rather cold..but I would sooner have that than the wind and the rain. Wherever you are I hope that you are nice and warm. So until next time...take care and happy crafting.
