Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center....The Baa Humbug Challenge

Today's card is a design team make for the great team over at Left of Center Creative Challenges. A new challenge is just about to begin and the theme for this week is Baa Humbug. This theme made me laugh because even if we don't feel this way ourselves..we will most likely know someone who acts like that..lol.
We are lucky this week to have been sponsored by the fantastic artist Rick St. Dennis. I just love his work and there is just so much to choose from on his site.

I just had to work with this image of the lady with the hammer and the alarm clock. It reminded me of many Christmases past, where I didn't seem to have enough hours in the day to get everything finished. I would wander around the house, lists in hand, muttering to myself. There were definitely times when I wanted to take a hammer to the alarm clock and just carry on sleeping. From my past I can remember thinking to myself that if Christmas was left to the men it just wouldn't happen..lol.

I hope that you will come on over and join in the fun at LOC. Of course, if you don't want to go with the theme..you can enter a LOC themed make. For all details of this , just check out the LOC blog.

AsI write the parlour is looking as if a bomb has landed...thanks to the kittens. They decided this morning to knock over 2 boxes of embellishments...twice I have picked it all up and put it back. As I'm writing this they have just done it again. Fiesty is running round the parlour with a ribbon bow in her mouth. Gannet and Nosey are fighting over a piece of silver ribbon..lol. and Simon is in the box itself having a merry little time.

Well the coffee is calling and I have a lovely long list of work to do. I'm hoping to get my Christmas cards finished..my friend the pa has put me to shame..she has completed so many of hers..I have managed to do about 6..lol. But a calm couple of days and I may have got them done..but who knows with these crazy cats...lol. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.
