Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Decoupage Delights....Vintage Christmas

Today's cards are design team makes for the fabulous company of Decoupage Delights. Both of these cards are from the Vintage Christmas cdroms. The card above features this fantastic image of the three little dogs singing their hearts out. I of course just had to add glitter..lol. On the card below, I also had glitter fever but again is a truly wonderful image. I have found over the last few years, vintage has really become a favourite with my customers. I find that they are looking for cards that remind them of their childhoods or that feature very traditional images. Decoupage Delights has been my go to place for these images.

I do hope that you will pop over to their facebook page and take a look at the wonderful cdroms that are available. And I have to say that the value for money is amazing.

At the moment I am wedged into my corner with kittens causing chaos across the parlour. I have been printing images for card orders all morning and now I can't move for card and paper. It is the result of trying to keep four lively kittens off the card. My plan is that I'll be card making all day and then I'll be painting tomorrow. Lots of work...that's how I like it.

The wind has started to rage again and all the big cats have run home. I have to say that it's not raining at the moment..which is something. But as I sit here I can hear the slates rattling on the roof. There have been quite a few off here in the village. I just feel so much for the people in Cumbria that are trying to save their homes whilst flooding is surrounding them. I can think of nothing worse. It must be so heart breaking trying to save your belongings while Mother Nature does her worst.

Well the coffee is calling and then it will be down to some serious work. If nothing else at least it will keep me quiet. Finally it seems that the kittens have gone to sleep..on my legs..lol. At least with them there, I know that they aren't around the corner from me causing mayhem. Wherever you are, I hope that the weather is being kind to you. So until next time...take care and happy crafting.
