Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. A Step In The Dark....Deadly Nightshade

Todays creation is a design team make for the fabulous team over at A Step in the Dark. A new challenge has just begun and will run for a month. It is a facebook challenge so why not pop over and take a look.

We are so lucky to have been sponsored by the wonderful team over at Delicious Doodles./

There are just so many images in the shop that I would love to work with and it's always so difficult to choose. The image that I have used is called Deadly Nightshade and I just had to do this one, which fits in so well with my love of all things Goth. I have coloured the image with my promarkers and have highlighted some little areas with a clear glaze pen. As most of you know, I do have a passion for strangely coloured hair, usually doing blue, green or purple. But for this one I decided to go pink to contrast the purple of the deadly nightshade flowers. I can remember them growing on the sides of the lane where I lived and being told repeatedly not to touch them by my Grandmother. It used to annoy me because the flowers are so beautiful..I just didn't understand how deadly they are.

Well the coffee is calling and the cats are wanting yet more food. The kittens are getting more and more nosey by the day. When I walk into the parlour in the morning they are all sat in a row watching me. Bumby is the noisiest and has a lot to say..lol. Nosey is still the one who pushes himself forward.
And here he is.....

I will try and get the others on to the blog in the next week. So until next time...take care and happy crafting.
