Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Jiggery Makery...The witch rides out and 31 Days of Halloween..Day 14

Todays creation is a design team make for the wonderful Jiggery Makery. And I thought it would also be perfect for the 31 Days challenge. Here as promised is the full version of the glamorous witch that I used part of last week. This week her legs are on show..lol. She is suspended on a piece of acetate so every time the wind catches her she flies around. As some of you know I have witches suspended from my parlour ceiling and as the wind is blowing they are all flying round..I have 6 witches up so far and 1 fairy..there are more waiting to go up but as Sparkle is only one handed at the moment..they will have to wait for their turn. It certainly causes a conversation when people come in to the parlour..lol. And then they notice all the skulls..but that's another story.

Today has been a very glittery day and Sparkle hasn't seen it yet. I was in the middle of moving the new drawers into place and sorting things out, when the lid flew off a small plastic box and before I knew it purple and silver glitter was exploding all around the room. I have to laugh because I'm covered and so is Simon. I have to say he looks fabulous with his silky black coat now sprinkled with purple and silver. I have brushed out as much as I could but it was ultra fine so he may have a certain sparkle for a few days..lol. As for me it's everywhere..stuck to my face and hands and all in my hair. Even the baby wipes don't seem to remove it..they just seem to be moving it round.

Well the coffee is calling and then it's back to the sorting. The boxes of paper are waiting. Do you ever have some paper that you just can't bring yourself to use..I have a couple of boxes that I must have had for about 6 years and the paper is just so beautiful..I've just stroked it. Well it's my mission the next year to use it. It seems only right that I should use it for myself in a scrapbook..if I'm so determined to hang on to it..scrapbooking seems the perfect way. That way I can still admire it but it will be out on display. Failing that I'll just have to wallpaper the bedroom with it..lol. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.

  1. I have books of the G45 paper. I think it's so pretty and
unique - I will let myself use one sheet, the other gets saved.
Guess I'm lucky they have 2 sheets of everything in the collection. Hope your glitter problem clears soon. It is
hard to corral. thanks for sharing.

  3. What - no photo of you or Simon in glitter?!? lol
This witch reminds me of Nicole Kidman in her role
    as Samantha of Bewitched.
