Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center.....New Challenge

Todays cards are design team makes for the wonderful team over at Left of Center Creative challenges. A new challenge has just begun and will run for the following week. The theme for this week is With Love. As usual you also have the option of going LOC..all the rules are on the blog.

So for my makes, I have been lucky enough to work with these fabulous designs from a new sponsor..Ching Chou Kuik. I just adore these two images and they involve some of my favourite things..the top one has books and a cat and the second has flowers especially poppies which are very special to me. I do hope that you will pop over to look at all the fabulous images she has created. There is something very special about them and I can only hope that I get to work with her work again soon.

As I'm writing this, I'm getting harassed by a group of my black cats. Raven, Jeffrey, Tankie and Simon have all decided that I must need help. I just wish that they would stop putting my caps lock on. The kittens are growing fast and are getting madder by the day. The things that they decided are perfect things to play with..never ceases to amaze me. A tin ashtray, a cotton reel,a piece of ribbon and a sheet of newspaper are causing such fun today. Who needs expensive cat toys I ask
Well the coffee is calling and there is work to be done.I managed to do some sewing yesterday..despite the kittens trying to help. I've now got to do some pressing..I can't quite believe that I'm going to get the iron I'm thinking of doing pasta for dinner tonight, as I still have some very fresh salad and just love salad with anything. I shall be back later with another design team make..but I do hope that you will pop over and join in the fun at Left of Center. So until later...take care and happy crafting
