Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Decoupage Delights.....Elephants are a go go

Today's cards are design team makes for the wonderful company of Decoupage Delights. I have left the cards rather plain today with the purpose of showcasing the wonderful backing papers that are an extra part of the brilliant Wildlife cdrom. The selection of any use backing papers takes my breath away. The one above is one of my favourites..I just love the pattern and the colours. The image of the elephant is also one of my favourites. I know of many people that have a special delight in certain wild animals..and surely most of them must be  featured on the cdrom.

If you pop over to the Decoupage Delights face book page..keep your eyes open for free downloads, special offers and forthcoming cds. I'm so excited about the cd that is in the pipeline...I will share some cards in the near future. As you can see from both of today's cards, the backing papers are a special point of the cd and they could be used in any of your crafting. I find them especially useful for men's cards.

As I sit here writing, I can hear a little chaos going on. All the kittens..Simon,Gannie and Norman are all on the landing and from the noise I can hear them playing with the empty cat tins. Everyone has been fed but the kittens love nothing better than playing with the empty tins..it drives me to distraction..lol. They will all be going downstairs when I do later but in the meantime the kittens have a noisy playtime. And they all manage to look so innocent when I call them..lol. As I look out of the window, I am shocked to see the sun is shining..but yet it is bitterly cold. The only cats to have gone out are Nicademus and Jeffrey. All the rest have found their special places to have a lie down..apart from the kittens of course who are still intent on causing mayhem.

What a day it was yesterday with BT internet going down. It took me even longer to blog..because I didn't have internet access. It is no wonder that my hair is growing greyer by the day..lol. I'm hoping that it will let me post this one. It's fish pie for dinner I think..just the thing on a cold day.

Well the coffee is calling and then it's time for a bit of peaceful colouring. I hope that the weather is being kind to you wherever you are. They did threaten snow last night but there is no sign of it. The kittens have just returned and have decided to terrorise the computer..lol. No peace for a bit then. So until next time, take care, enjoy any peace you have and happy crafting.
