Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Crafting Musketeers...New Challenge..Use a diecut

Here I am..back again. Todays second card is another design team make. This time it's for the fabulous Crafting Musketeers. A new challenge has begun with the theme as well of use a diecut. This months challenge is lucky enough to have 2 sponsors..Hobby House and JDG Crafts. Both wonderful companies working in our favourite area..crafting.Why not pop over to the challenge blog and join in the fun alongside us all at the Crafting Musketeers.

For my card, I have chosen to use the wonderful Hollypond Hill cdrom brought to us by Joanna Sheen. I chose this happy image of a bunny and have mounted both the image and the backing paper onto some pink holographic, also creating a border with the same. To create the full border I have added some die cut ivy leaves, which I have coloured with my promarkers. I then added some pale and bright pink jewelled flowers.

What a day today...Dotty arrived in the pouring rain..bless her. It was fabulous to catch up with all the news. And of course I was dying to hear all the news of Merlin. And here he is..

Hasn't he grown. And most of his growth has gone into his fantastic ears. He is just so pretty...it will be amazing to watch his hair grow on his ears. In fact Dotty told me that he will grow long hair everywhere. Such a pretty little face with his cute little black nose. I have always had a thing for black noses. Hilly used to have one and I used to say that it was her saving grace. No matter what trouble she got into...she was always so cute with her little black nose..lol

It's raining as I said earlier and it's really cold. The cats are using me as a cat roundabout, as they decide whether to be in or out. Jeffrey and Sprout have been all night and have now come in..looking at me as if I should have waited up all night until they came in. I'm sorry to say that if they're not back in by 11p.m. it's a case of tough..you're out until 5 a.m. Hobo is trying very hard to come in..poor Sprout is suffering from a couple of bald spots after their last meeting.Pinkie is in the process of telling him to go away..or words to that effect...lol. Sometimes the girls are far more pushy than the boys. Hobo will hold his own until he's confronted by 3 of the girls and then he knows that retreat is the easiest option.

Well the coffee is definitely calling today. It has felt really hard work to post today..thanks to BT and their intermittent service. Here we pay the same as everyone else in the country, yet we don't even have a quarter of the speed. It says something when I in a wheelchair are quicker than BT..lol No matter what..a good dose of caffeine will help. So until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting

  1. Two lovely cards especially the first one.

    Merlin looks gorgeous, very handsome.

It's been raining here since early morning which has made me start a card commission so that can't be bad!
