Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Jiggery Makery.. presents Grace

Today's card should have been yesterdays but BT wouldn't let it happen. They are currently renewing cables in the village...without I would like to say letting anyone know and consequently I've been unable to blog. Anyway..to get to the important thing..please let me present Grace..a new digi from the very talented Adele over at Jiggery Makery. I just love working with Adele's fabulous digis because they always make stand out cards and projects. I do think that maybe I have a real love for the colour green..lol. There is always something so vibrant about it and I nearly always do a red head...my Henry always loved red hair. For this card, as I was sitting here last week..with the rain pouring down and the wind raging, I thought surely we are due some nice weather and I thought that Grace would be perfect to give us all some hope for a good summer. I have matted and layered some summery paper onto a flower shaped card. I coloured Grace with my promarkers and then cut her out to place her at the bottom of the card. She certainly makes me hope for a little sunshine.

What a week it's been..with the bad weather and the joys of BT. Today in the mountains, all I can say is it's dry..lol. I finally managed to sort my shelves out..a little organisation can go a long way. I've managed to sort all my inspiration books out and to put all my canvasses and items to craft on in one area..so if I ever have a bright idea..all my possible project items are together. I also started an art journal and a quote journal. The reason for the quote journal is that many times, whether on facebook, the tv or in reading a book...I come across a quote which I know would be great to use on a piece of artwork.or a card..so rather than forget them or put them on a scrap of paper..I now have a dedicated book. The only place that I've still to do is by the side of my chair which has become a dumping ground and has always seemed to be..lol. So now you can nearly see all the couch. My friend the pa said that it had definitely improved..at least she can sit on the couch now..lol. Still more to do...but at least I've made a dent.

Well the coffee is calling and I've got plans to make 2 birthday cards for some friends. I've got plans for Sunday dinner tomorrow. I'm going to do roast Gammon with cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes and green beans. For tonight..I don't know..perhaps chips with something but as it stands..I'm looking for some inspiration. So BT willing..until tomorrow take care and happy crafting.
