Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. JB-Crafting Supplies...Joanna Sheen Stamp

Todays card is a design team make for the amazing team over at JB-Crafting Supplies. I was lucky to get this stamp from Joanna Sheen to work with and loved every moment of it. It is from the Enchanted Forest range from Joanna Sheen. This fairy is part of the Magical Day sheet. I coloured the fairy with my promarkers and have glittered her dress and wings..well I just had to..lol. I die cut a plain oval to mount her on and created a background. Around this I added some die cut ivy leaves and small sequin flowers. I also added a larger die cut flower to the corner. I thought that this would make a lovely card for a little girl who was into fairies...or even a larger girl who was into them as well.

It's certainly cold here in the mountains today. We did have snow and we have a certain amount left but I haven't seen any today. All the cats are staying into day I think. They seem to have taken over the couch ...I think that it's a cunning plan to keep an eye on me..lol. Every time I move from my crafting corner, I am followed by my own little entourage. I'm sure that they're just checking that they don't miss a chance of food.

At some point during this week, I need to finish sorting the work area out. After Jeffrey clearing out a shelf for me...kicking the paper about until he could get his bottom in the space...I need to sort the resulting pile. At this moment Jeffrey is lying on top of Reg in the dog basket. He never lies by the side of Reg but always stretched out over him. To Reg it must be like having an extra quilt on his back..lol

I'm going to on my own this evening so I'm wondering what to cook. I had fried rice last night and I may very have it again tonight. Although I am thinking that I have a cabbage in the fridge and I am a bit of a cabbage loving fool. I know that I'm going to make some scones for the cake tin. I've been driving myself mad trying to find a recipe. I can see the book in my mind but can I find it. The recipe is for a sort of lamb crumble..I know that sounds strange but it would be really good with cabbage and a good gravy. It is a recipe that I've made since the 70's and it's been pecking at my head for a couple of weeks. I've even bought the lamb...so when I'm downstairs, I'll again be looking for the Pennywise Cookbook circa 1970 something..lol

Well the coffee is calling and I'll have to be making my own. Sparkle has left the building for the moment...he's probably had enough of the riveting glitter that goes on in this house..lol. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.
