Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. The boy with the Lambs

Todays card is from the Giordano Christmas cdrom from Joanna Sheen. I love this image of the little boy with the lambs. The backing paper is a classic holly and berry design from another Joanna Sheen cdrom. The embellishment is made with Joanna Sheens Signature die range. I have mounted the image onto some dark green card. With all Giordano images, the painting of the animals is so good and cute in the right way.
I'm currently working on some cards and creations with the Barkley cdrom from Crafters Companion. I'm loving the images..a dog and a cat..it will always be good to use for my friends. I'm working on a couple of decorations that I thought would be nice. I'll be sharing them with you shortly. I've had a good play this weekend with my alcohol inks and some acetate and have made some nice backing papers. And I have to admit to making a right royal mess. My hands were covered with ink and there was splats of ink everywhere. And the whole room smelt of blending solution. But a good time was had. I seem to have about 30 cards only half finished. I will have to settle down and get them done. They are all sitting there waiting to be embellished. And don't make me think of inserts..any day soon I'm going to have to sit down and make about 500. As I've said before it's my least favourite job and I put it off for ages. It's all my own fault..I keep telling myself that when I finish a card I should do an insert at the same time...but I just put it off. Shame on me.
I hope that you have a good weekend..and are ready for the week ahead..take care and happy crafting.
