Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Father Christmas

Todays card is a really simple but happy card made with the fabulous Father Christmas cdrom by Crafters Companion. The image is from the toppers section and the backing paper is from the design sets. All that I have done is mount the image onto some red card and add some glitter peeloffs around the edges. This is a really quick and easy card..and lets be honest we all get to the point nearer christmas when we need a card that we don't have to think alot about and gives the right amount of festive feeling. I looked at this card sat on the side while it was drying and thought that it was a really cheery card.
Here in Snowdonia it's a really grey day and getting cooler by the hour. You can definately feel that Autumn is here. The cold snap is bringing on the changing of the colours. Even though I can't go out, I can still feel part of the seasons. Autumn and Winter have always been my favourite seasons. I love the cold air and the dark evenings. I love the cosy feeling of winter evenings by the fire. The first frost where the whole vista looks as if it's been sprinkled with glitter. Autumn always reminds me of new shoes. When I was a little girl I always had new shoes for the beginning of the Autumn term at school. I can remember looking down at my shoes and seeing the shine. The days before they became scuffed from all the playtimes.
I hope that you are having a good weekend and that you find some me time. Wherever you are take care and happy crafting
