Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center......Crazy Hair

Todays card is a design team make for the fabulous Left of Center Creative Challenges. A new challenge has just begun and the theme is Crazy Hair and will run for the next week. The rest of the design team have created some fantastic makes and obviously have had a lot of fun in the process. With my card.. I coloured the image with my promarkers and then added coloured pearls to the eye of the peacock feathers. I thoroughly enjoyed colouring this image.
We have been so lucky to have been sponsored by the fabulous Stitchy Bears. As always they are a wonderful source of designs and inspiration. I do hope that you will pop over and take a look.

It is just so cold today..I've actually put my cardigan on..lol. More than anything the trouble is the wind, plus the fact that my windows seals have given up . But all the cats are looking really cosy..they are all lying round the parlour, all curled up. The only ones not curled up are of course the kittens...they are racing around like the little nutters that they are..lol.

Well the coffee is calling and then I will be back with another design team make. So until then..take care and happy crafting

Snowflakes Promise.....New Challenge

Todays card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at a Snowflakes Promise. A new challenge has just begun and the theme has changed seeing as Christmas is now over, and we have gone seasonal or Anything goes...the choice is yours. I love the idea of doing seasonal cards..that way we can do Easter, valentines, St. Patricks Day or anything else that pops up. With the option of Anything Goes, of course you can enter any type of card.

I chose to work with this really unusual fairy. As soon as I saw her I wanted to give her a different skin tone than normal..so she has a slightly blue tinge. I then continued to colour in her clothes and wings with different shades of blue. Then I glittered her wings. I then found the saying and thought it was perfect for the coming year..after all who knows what is coming...who knows where the journey will take us. It's the same with my blogging journey...who knew where it would take me and whether or not I would still be on it. Well I am and it seems to get better all the time..the friends I have made and the design teams that I get to work with..I feel really lucky. I've shared the ups and downs of my life and all the crazy antics of my furbabies..and have loved every minute. And who knows what is around the corner?

For this challenge over at a Snowflakes Promise we have been lucky enough to have been sponsored by the fabulous team over at Stitchy Bears. Why not pop over and take a look at all the wonderful designs that are available.

The new challenge will run for the next fortnight, so why not have a go. For all rules please pop over to the blog. The other members of the design team have created some wonderful makes..why not pop over and take a look..I always find them to be a wonderful source of inspiration.

There's big news on the cat front. Little Fiesty has left to rule her new home and reports have it that she is loving it.She is probably enjoying a little peace after living with her brothers..lol. Her Mum, Flossie, is off to her new home tomorrow and that means that I am left with the Tabby terrorists. And goodness me..they are a pair of terrors..lol. All the others are well but sulking today because it's raining. As usual it's all my fault. My friend the vicar has been stuck in America because of the snow...I tell my cats that they should be thankful that they're not living in New York..lol. Where my friend was stopping the snow was so bad that it came halfway up the downstairs window...not the place for little kitties.

Well the coffee is calling and then I have some colouring to do. I'm trying to get ahead with my work, so that I can spend the weekend moving my parlour around...I know that the cats will hate it but I want to make a little room to put my sewing machine up. I have plans..but will have to see if they all work out. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.

A Snowflakes Promise....A Christmas Mouse

Todays card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at a Snowflakes Promise Challenge Blog. As well as the challenge blog, there is a facebook page. I hope that you will pop over and take a look. There were an amazing amount of entries to our last challenge..I hope that you will all pop over and join in the fun.

This fortnights challenge has just begun and we have been so lucky to  have been sponsored by the fabulous team over at Stitchy Bears.

For todays card I used this wonderful little mouse..it's called a butterflies snowflake. That may seem strange but it has a wonderful saying that snowflakes are winters butterflies, but I loved the little mouse so much, I just used him on his own. The great thing about digi stamps is that you can colour them to fit whatever colour way that you like the most.

As you can see from the image above..on this one I used the red and green, where as the first image I went with blues and lilacs. I still haven't decided which one that I like the most..lol.

What a day today..all thanks to BT. I said the immortal words yesterday...BT has been really good this weekend...and I should have known that it wouldn't be long. So here I was first thing this morning all set to go..blogs to do, photos to watermark and upload and work to put in folders ready for different posts and then it happened..BT said no way. It's at this moment 2.30 and I've been trying since 8am. Hopefully it will hold it together enough to let me finish this blog..lol.

Now to let you all know..Flossie has settled down really well and seems to be quite taken with Jeffrey..lol. She did spend the first few days hissing at him..and he just ignored him..lol..but now they will get nose to nose and talk to each other. I said the other day that Jeffrey was on three legs but he is now back on four. Bless him he is still the house baby and felt so sorry for himself, he had to come for Mother cuddles every day. But today he is back on form...goodness help us all..lol.Sprout seems to be turning into a little homebody..at the moment he is lay in the sun on the studio roof. He has started to sleep at the foot of my bed. When he arrived he was just so scared and used to hide when anyone came..to see him now is such a joy.

Well the coffee is calling and I've still got more uploading to do,so keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm hoping that a coffee will keep me calm..lol So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting

A Step in the Dark....Butterflies and Tangle

Hello everyone..here I am with my first blog of the day. This is my design team make for the fabulous design team for A Step in the Dark. This is a facebook challenge with a theme of Anything Goes as long as it is a dark side creation. The Challenge runs for a month and please consider joining in. I just love being part of this team because I get to experiment with different looks. The rest of the team have created some fabulous makes and are a great source of inspiration.

We are lucky enough to be sponsored for this month by the wonderful team over at Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet. Everytime I go to have a look around their store, I'm lost. There are just so many fabulous designs..I just don't know where to start.

The image that I have decided to work with for this month is called Butterfly profile. It just called to me to be a perfect design to tangle...so that's what I did. As most of you know, I adore the art of zentangle and have to say that Sparkle says that it's the only time I'm really quiet..lol. I just find it so relaxing.I decided to use one of my favourite sayings...Never settle for anything less than butterflies. I have coloured the butterflies with my glaze pens..mainly so that they would stand out beside all the tangles. I'm thinking to myself that I may put this into a frame and put it in the bathroom. I'm quickly running out of wallspace in the house..lol

Well the coffee is calling and I'll be back shortly with another design team make. I hope you will pop over to the A Step in the Dark facebook page and join in the fun. So until later...take care and happy crafting.
