Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center..............New Challenge

Here I am again..finally. Bt is playing up at it's best and managing to make me swear that much..the air is blue..lol But enough moaning and on with my chat. This creation is a design team make for the great team over at Left of Center Creative Challenges. A new challenge is just about to begin and will run for the next week. The theme for this week is distressing. Of course, as always, you have the option of going LOC...for all details about that, please check out the LOC blog.

We are so lucky this week to have been sponsored by the fabulous team over at Kenny K designs.
As all of you that have been following the tales of Simon the Brave..you will know why I just had to do this design. When I was looking through a whole range of great images, I spotted this image of a super cat and just had to do it. I created the background first..the brick wall and the torn paper..so it seemed as if he was jumping through the wall..a little like the Felix advert..lol. I coloured the cat image with my promarkers and then cut him out and placed him on the background. This will be going to hang in my bathroom, alongside all the other spider makes and stand testament to my brave boy..lol.

It's been a lovely day today and the evening is glorious. All the cats are still outside..they only seem to want to come home to eat and then when it gets dark to trample me at bedtime..lol. I had a lovely afternoon watching the athletics and the gymnastics and I have more to look forward to tomorrow. I have all my crafting ready..so I can craft away whilst watching all the people who manage to do things that I've never been able to. In the gymnastics it's the beam that goes through me..I wouldn't even have been able to walk on it...even in my good days.

Well the coffee is calling and then it will be time for dinner. It's my favourite tonight..fish, new potatoes and salad. I'm thinking of doing maybe meatloaf for dinner tomorrow but that thought may change overnight. I hope that you all have a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday with another creation. So until then..take care and happy crafting.
