Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Decoupage Delights....Pink, Girly and Vintage

Today's card is a design team make for the fabulous Decoupage Delights. This card is a mixture of two of my favourite cdrom designers. The main image and the rose are from Decoupage Delights and the backing paper is from one of my Joanna Sheen cds. What I'm hoping to show here is that a lot of designs work together and in that way you are getting even more value from your cds.. I often look through my cds and make a note of different backing papers that would be useful in my day to day crafting. I've always said that having a library of cdroms is like having many shops available to you, no matter what the time. As I've used a Joanna Sheen cd for the backing paper, on many occasions I've used backing papers from Decoupage Delights in other work.

As most of you know, I adore.all  things vintage...and this card having roses, pearls, a large hat and butterflies just about ticks all my boxes. Really it shows just how diverse my crafting is..and I suppose that's why I never get bored. I love working on vintage but also love slightly risky designs. I love skulls, owls, cats and all things Day of the Dead..but that's just me. Most of my friends have come to accept all the differences and know that my cottage is surrounded with all the above..lol.

Today in the mountains, the weather really doesn't know what to do with itself. it has been thinking of raining all day but hasn't got round to it yet. The clouds are looking really dark but I'm hoping that they will pass over. All the cats are all settled on the studio roof...near enough to get back if it does start to rain. My cleaner has just been and done my stairs for me. he's such a lovely lad. I find it really weird that I've known him since he was a little boy and now he's a Father with little boys of his own..where has that time gone?

Well the coffee is calling and I'm going to be back later with another design team make. For some reason today I feel as if I need a caffeine hit. I'm only heading towards my third coffee of the day...even when I'm working, my coffee is to my right hand side..I really should have it on drip..lol. I can even remember having my very first sip of coffee when I was little and that was it..I was hooked. My grandmother was a coffee drinker, which back in the day was unusual..and she drank proper coffee. She was horrified to discover that a lot of her friends drank 'Camp' coffee..she used to say the only reason she bought this was because it helped make good coffee cake..lol. So with all this in thought..I'm off for a brew...so until later..take care and happy crafting.
