Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Crafting Musketeers......Mice in the Snow

Todays card is a design team make for the fantastic teams over at the Crafting Musketeers. A new challenge has just begun and the theme is christmas ribbons. I have to admit to having a bit of a ribbon passion..lol..I think that it began when I was little and had long hair and always had a ribbon in my hair. When I see what is available these days...I would have needed a lie down to cope deciding what to wear.

We have been so lucky this month to have been sponsored by the wonderful team over at Crafty Ribbons. The variety they can supply, just takes my breath away. The design team were lucky enough to have been supplied with ribbons to use on every month that they sponsored and I have loved them all. The ribbon that I have used on my make above was one of them and it is a fabulous groos grain ribbon printed with christmas words and little trees. I love using gros grain ribbon as it holds it shape so well.

For my card I decided to use this little House Mouse image brought to us crafters by Joanna Sheen. It is from the Triple House Mouse cd and features lots of images from the ever talented Ellen Jareckie. As most of you will know..I love all the creatures featured in the House Mouse collection..as well as the Gruffies and Happy Hoppers.I mounted the image and the backing paper onto some silver holographic.I also created a border, to which I added my special ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. I finally added some card candy all over the card.
Well the coffee is calling and I will be later with more design team makes. It's a busy day today. All the cats are sleeping off their breakfasts still. It never ceases to amaze me just how much they put away and they greet me every morning like they've never been fed..lol. They are having a special treat this week with all fish meals..it's absolute mayhem with me trying to get the food out of the tin and all the cats trying to get it out even quicker..I have the scratches to prove it..lol Of them all I think that Nicademus is the worst culprit. He virtually tries to get his head into the tin as I'm trying to get it out. If you could see all my cats you would have no doubt that they have more than enough food but always just act as if they are all starving..lol  While I have a little peace, I'm off to grab my caffeine hit..so until later..take care and happy crafting.
