Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center........MainlyBlue

Todays creations ar all design team makes for the fabulous team over at Left of Center Creative Challenges. Anew challenge has just begun and it's theme is mainly blue. I do hope that you will come on over and join in the fun. As you will be able to see I have got a little carried away doing three but I just loved the mages so very much.

I had intended to do just one but when I had the chance to work with these three images..I just couldn't contain myself..lol.At least it kept me quiet for a short time.

For this weeks challenge we are so lucky to have been sponsored by the fabulous company of SLSLines. Why not pop over to their etsy store and take a look at their fabulous range. The designs are really beautiful and are just inspirational.

What a couple of days I've had here in the mountains. First there was no electric and to matters worse when the electric did decide to come back on, BT decided that they weren't going to play. I'm just so fed up with trying to get online and when I finally do it's so slow. In the darkness of yesterday, my skip arrived, so I decided to do some more in the studio. I'm so pleased with the way that it's coming on..I have found my worktop. It was quite hard because there were lots of pictures of Henry and pieces of art work that we had done together but I put my big girl pants on and got on with it. Don't get me wrong..there's still along way to go but I'm hoping to do some more this weekend.
Well the coffee is calling and I've lots of work to do. I will be back later with another design team make. I hope that you all have a fabulous bank holiday weekend. Here in the mountains it's the weekend of Henrys Midgestock...a music festival with proceeds going towards the Henry Memorial fund. We managed to raise enough last year to buy two defribulators for the village...this year we are hoping to buy two memorial benches for the village. I've spent a couple of hours bagging 100 tea towels ready to sell. They look fabulous...they feature Henrys owl. I'm hoping to make one into an apron...if I ever manage to find my sewing machine..lol. So until later..take care and happy crafting.
