Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center...Inspired by a movie

Todays creations have been made for the wonderful design team over at the Left of Center Creative Challenges.

We have been lucky enough this challenge to have been sponsored by two great companies.

The image that I chose to work with is called Fairy 026 and comes from the creative force that is Ronne Barton. I just loved this image and I was inspired by the great film..Voyage of the Unicorn. I had so much fun with this image that I decided to do it in both a light and a darker colourway. Both backgrounds were created with H2o's painted onto a canvas. Both of the fairy images were coloured with my promarkers. On the second image I created some grass simply by colouring some paper with my promarkers and then cutting it into grass shapes. On the second image, I also added some black glitter to the edges of the wings.

As I've said, I have really enjoyed working with these images. The new challenge is 'Inspired by a Movie'...so why not pop over and join in the fun. The other members of the design team have created some fantastic work, it is really worth having a look..if only for inspiration. So what film could be the source of your piece of your inspiration. I just love challenges like this and cannot resist having a play.

Well the coffee is calling and I will be back later with another design team make. All the cats have run out to play in the sunshine...it seems very quiet here..lol. So until later..take care and happy crafting.
