Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Jiggery Makery.....Pretty in Lilac

Todays card is a design team make for the wonderful Jiggery Makery. This lady is one of my favourites..just because she always looks as if she is control of her life and enjoying every moment. I love the ladies that Adele..the owner and artist at Jiggery Makery has a knack for creating fabulous ladies..that can be used in so many different ways. If you get the chance, please pop over to the Jiggery Makery facebook page and take a look.

Here in the mountains, the wind is blowing but the sun is shining. Earlier today the rain hammered down and all the cats sat at the window looking hard done to..but now they're all out, doing what they do...whatever that is..lol. Apart from Raven that is who is sat on my legs acting like a movable hot water bottle. I don't seem to have been much on this week..that's because this week has been hard going but hopefully I'm coming out of it now. Some changes are going to happen in my life and I've got some serious decisions to make..but I have faith that I can do it...and it will work out in the end. After all I just have to count my blessings..and with all the furry babies..I have a lot to be thankful for.

The old chapel at the end of the lane has gone up for auction and today has been an open day. I have to laugh when people first move here, seeing themselves living the rural idyll without doing any work..lol. They usually last 2 years and then have to move blaming the weather, the commute and the people. Personally I love being treated like the village idiot.after all what do I know I've only lived here for nearly 30 years. I've got used to no shops, no pub and a terrible internet service. You don't have any choice..you just have to get used to it. Personally I never want to live any where else and all the things that put people off living here are all the reasons that I love it. I have got used to be talked down to by new people..the worst thing that I've put up with was being patted on the head when I was out in my wheelchair..lol. I couldn't believe it..I was so shocked there was nothing I could say. I really felt like running her over in my chair..lol. But it doesn't help that when I go out, all the cats come with me. I don't have a say in it..they just follow. It does stop people in their tracks and the amount of times that cars stop and take pictures. Especially the Japanese tourists who are lost.

Well the coffee is calling and then I will have to go downstairs and put the gammon in the oven. Tonights dinner is going to be roast gammon with roast potatoes and redcurrant jelly. Tomorrow is going to be a busy time..I've got to blog three times for three different challenges..the caffeine will really be needed..lol. So until then..take care and happy crafting.
