Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Blue Lighthouse

Todays card is another that I made for the fabulous design team over at jb-crafting supplies. It is from the lovely Halcyan Days from Crafters Companion. Lovely summery images to match the weather. Don't worry I won't be doing just grey and miserable images when the rain comes..lol  Using this cd has been a great excuse to go through all my embellishments and diecuts and have a play. Because the images are photographs of sewing projects they seem to call out for  fabric embellishments and unusual bits and pieces. And I have to admit to having a lot of both.

As I wheeled Reg today, I was lucky enough to be joined by a number of friends. I think Reg had given up on me and as I continued to chat he continued to lie down on the grass. We carried onto the turnaround tree and as we had a little sit there, Milky spotted something in the field. It was so funny seeing her trying to catch something...I'm glad to say though she gave us a good laugh...she didn't manage to catch whatever it was. It's been said that the weather is going to turn at the end of the week..I shall be glad for no other reason than I shall be able to count the cats. Because the weather has been so warm..some seem to have left home..they always seem to be spending the day staying cool and the night time hunting. They have been doing this for so long that It's a wonder that I forget the way it goes..but every year I do. It's because I like the whole family to be home.

Well the coffee is calling..so until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.
