Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Jiggery Makery....Tess

Let me introduce Tess the witch brought to us by the very talented Adele over at Jiggery Makery. I just love the fact that she is a good looking witch. When I was child I thought that it was wrong that every witch I saw on television was an old ugly woman..that seemed so wrong.I always wanted the witches to be glamorous and finally I get to create with Tess. On this canvas, she swings about in the wind. I coloured her with my promarkers, then cut her out and suspended her on a piece of fishing line.I painted the back of the canvas frame with my acrylics and then added the banners. She will be flying around my house come this Halloween.

I'm having to blog this now rather than later. I'm supposed to blog for Jiggery Makery Later in the day, but I'm so sick of trying on a Friday night and getting nowhere. Come about 5.30p.m. my router will begin to flash as if it's a disco light and I will be lucky if I can get on during the weekend. So rather than fight the fight yet again, I'm blogging now..so no stress later

I've already decided what we are having for dinner tonight. We are having bacon with mashed potatoes and parsley sauce. It is a thing that we used to have when I was little and I can remember my Grandmother making it. I don't know why it works but it does. We used to have it with broad beans, butter beans or peas depending what was available. Perhaps it's one of those things that was a favourite where I used to live. Anyway that's what we are having and I have to say I'm really looking forward to it.

So I'm now of for another coffee and then it will be a case of getting the paints out. I hope that all the cats are settled...I don't want pawprints everywhere again..lol. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.
