Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Decoupage Delights.....Vintage Christmas

Todays cards are design team makes for the wonderful company of Decoupage Delights. Both of these cards are on the fabulous cdrom named Vintage Christmas. The card above is a traditional one that I love...it reminds me of the cards that were around when I was little. The image has been decoupaged and glittered. I have mounted the image onto some green card and then onto some holographic. I wanted to make it a large card, so I found some christmas themed paper from my stash and put that onto the main card. I did the same with the card below. The only difference with the one below is that I inked the edge of the backing paper with my distress ink.

The card above is the type of christmas card that I get asked for lots of times. I get a lot of requests for a traditional church image from my customers who want a card suitable for their friends that attend the same church. The layers of decoupage are so easy to cut and really help add to the effect.
I do hope that you will pop over to the Decoupage Delights face book page and take a look at the fabulous offers that they have on at the moment. I have all their cds and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them...the variety on them is fantastic.

I'm so surprised that I'm able to blog today. Ever since Friday last week I've probably only had about half an hour of internet. I don't know what has been going on with BT..they are slowly driving me insane. Yesterday, I have to say was the worst it had ever been. I couldn't get on at all.So I'm feeling very lucky today.

I want to say a big thankyou to everyone that has messaged me about the kittens. They are all doing well and Flossie has been amazing. She is a very protective Mother and is looking after them all so well. Any day now they will be opening their eyes..and then the fun will begin...lol. I have had a look and as far as I can see they are all boys. Goodness help us all. All the other cats have been and had a look. Reg has been the funniest of all the animals. He was the first to go and investigate and Flossie bless her came to the front of the pen and made a fuss of him. Reg licked her..he does love the cats. People have always commented that it so strange to see how much the cats love him. Some even go out with him for a walk when he goes out with the dog walkers. He has to check the kittens every day..it does make me smile.

Well the coffee is calling and I've two projects that I have to finish. The parlour is looking as if it has been stirred with a stick..lol. In my own defence I have been painting, glittering and molding paper, decorating cards and it seems as if every box that can possibly be out is currently around my feet. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.Just keep your fingers crossed that I can find the parlour under everything..lol.
