Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center....New Challenge

Todays card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at Left of Center Creative Challenges. A new challenge has just begun and will run for the next week. The theme for this

                                   '

this challenge is 'Lots of Layers'. I cannot explain just how hard it is trying to type with a cat sat on your wrist. As I'm typing Milky is determined to help...no trying to move her..she is not having it..lol

This challenge is being sponsored by the fabulous team over at Shadow Clocksy. What an amazing variety of images they have. I chose to work with this wonderful image of a dream catcher.

As the theme is lots of layers..it seemed the perfect time for some decoupage. I coloured the image with my promarkers. After printing the image 3 times, I decided what I wanted to decoupage and coloured the areas needed. When the image was coloured, I mounted it onto 3 layers of card mats. So all in all there are 6 layers on this card.

I hope that you will pop over to the Left of Center Blog and take a look at the wonderful makes of the rest of the team and why not join in the challenge.

Well the coffee is calling and I will be back in a short while with another design team make. So until then...take care and happy crafting.
