Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. JB-Crafting Supplies....Making more of your stash

Today's card is a design team make for the wonderful company of JB-Crafting Supplies. My mission for the next few weeks for this company is an idea that I've been playing with for the past couple of weeks. It's about looking at your Christmas stash and seeing if you can make any cards for the rest of the year. For the card above, I used Crafters Companions Adorable range. These feature the designs of Jayne Nestorenko and are supposedly Christmas. I took the stamp of the little girl with the cat, stamped her with my memento inkpad and coloured her with my promarkers. I also coloured some flowers to match in. I covered the card with some paper from my stash and added the flowers and a diecut heart to embellish. Making ths card has inspired me to look at other Christmas themed stash and look what I can up with.

The weather here in the mountains today is surprisingly sunny..but it's really cold. All the kittens have curled up on Reg in the basket. It must be like having his own portable electric blanket..lol. They fuss him all the time..getting himself upstairs can take quite a time with the kittens trying to rub up against him.
Well the coffee is calling and then it's down to work. I was working on a large picture of a dream catcher  which will be have to be started again..thanks to kitten paws...lol. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.
