Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Left of Center.......New Challenge

Today's card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at Left of Center Creative Challenges.
We are lucky enough to have been sponsored for this challenge by the wonderful company of Ikes Art. I love the range that is available from them and always find it hard to choose which image to work with. As always the challenge will run for a week and the theme for this week is Anything New,

First before a catch up, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. I hope that 2016 will bring you all much happiness and many good times. I hope that you will all continue to follow my crazy journey..you never know what is going to happen along the way...lol.

All the animals are well and the kittens ensured that I had an eventful Christmas. They have all grown, not only in size but also in attitude..lol. Nosey continues to be the first in any trouble. Simon has took to following Jeffrey around and now sleeps every night on the bed. Fiesty and Gannet are the two at the center of any chaos..their best play moments are involving a card board box..it has now been here since before Christmas and has provided many hours of entertainment. Gannet likes to hide underneath and move the box around..a bit like a turtle. He runs up onto the other kittens and stalks them and uses the box to pounce on them..it's so funny. All the kittens adore Reg and can be found asleep on top of him at various times of the day. They all fuss him and he loves them. They have definitely helped to keep me a little sane at a difficult time. It was hard at Christmas, missing Henry and remembering the times that we had shared, but at least I had my memories which are a blessing. And with the New Year I'm going to try and make him proud..get my head down and try to make a plan. Maybe next Christmas I will try and have a tree and celebrate the season as we used to do.

Well the coffee is calling and then after a little caffeine, I will be back with another design team make. It would be nice to be able to type without kitten help but I'm at least getting there. So until later..take care and happy crafting.

That sounds like my purr-fect type of Christmas you had there. My huge herd managed to leave my tree alone so I was very pleased with them this year. No luck getting anyone to wear a Chrimbo hat though :-(
I wish you health and happiness for 2016.
