Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Decoupage Delights.....Bring on the Wildlife

Todays cards are design team make for the wonderful company of Decoupage Delights. I just love this Wildlife cdrom from them. The first card is a 'quick card' from the cd and features this striking white tiger. The backing paper was already put together for you, so all I had to do was to mount it onto some holographic card and it was ready to go. The good thing with these 'quick cards' is you can put as much or as little work into the card that you want. Let's be honest..there are days when your mojo has gone off on it's own and that's usually the time you remember a friends birthday. These cards are perfect for this. And on the days when you feel like crafting for a while..go the whole hog, decoupage and embellish to your hearts desire.

On the card below, I just had to use this wonderful image of the meercats. I have a number of friends who just love them and would adore this card. For the background I have used this textured paper from my stash..I thought it looked like the ground where meercats come from and I have to admit to that paper being in my stash for the last 10 years..lol...it was just waiting for the right image. I have decoupaged the image and have thought that it would make a great mans card. I think that all the images on this cd would be great for my male friends. I get so fed up seeing mens cards with ships, fishing and football on them. I know that there are a lot of men who love these things but equally there are lots who don't.

I have to admit that today I feel as if I got up at a ridiculous time. Flossie was going to her new home today and was leaving at just after 7.30 a.m. So I had to get up really early so I could feed all the other cats first. Goodness knows that they are not used to being fed so early and will no doubt be demanding afternoon tea..lol. As I write, the kittens are playing, running up and downstairs like maniacs and all the big cats are sat watching them. Tankie has taken to playing with the kittens and that's really funny to watch.
Tomorrow is Virgo mans funeral. Sadly it has happened to fall on the same day that Henrys was. I know it will be a difficult day. We will have to leave the house early to make sure we get there in time..especially if it keeps raining as it has today..the roads have started to flood..so keep your fingers crossed for me tomorrow.
Well the coffee is calling and I've lots to do. I'm starting work on the parlour on Friday.I've got all the plans in my head..I just hope they work out in real life..lol. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.
