Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Jiggery Makery....The Butterfly Dress

Here I am again with another design team make. This card was made for the wonderful team over at Jiggery Makery. The inspiration for this card came from watching a music video. I never know what is going to inspire a card...sometimes it can be the strangest things..lol. Anyway, in this video the ladies dress disappeared into butterflies and I thought how beautiful it seemed. Then I was looking through the Jiggery Makery ladies and discovered Victoria. I always enjoy designing the dresses...didn't you enjoy doing this as a child...I did and enjoy working with the Jiggery Makery ladies for the same reasons. I coloured this dress with my promarkers and then stamped over the top with a tiny butterfly stamp. I stamped more at the bottom and decreased as I went up. I then added black dots amongst the butterflies. I then cut her out and added to the card. I have covered my card with some black card, matted with a purple patterned paper. On the right side of the card I added a piece of black lace and held it back to look like a curtain. Finally I added the sentiment. In the end it reminded me a bit of Gone with the Wind .I so enjoyed playing and creating this card. Looking at it now..I could even add some glitter..in fact I don't know how I didn't..lol

I do hope that you will pop over to the Jiggery Makery facebook page and take a look at all the wonderful designs. And I have to say the the other members of the team have created some wonderful pieces...sure to be a great source of inspiration.

So what are my plans for the weekend. I have been trying to finish a sign for the cottage for weeks. It's got to be about 70% finished. Every time I think..oh I'll do that..loads of other work has come in.As I said earlier I'm in the middle of water colouring some cards but then I think I may be up to date. On a Friday I like to make a list of all possible work and see how much I can get done. It may sound boring I know..but I love to swing from one sort of crafting to another and then back again. It's really no wonder that my parlour looks as if it has been stirred with a spoon..lol

Well once again the coffee calls. I hope that you all have a fabulous weekend and manage to get to do some of the things that you love. I will be back on Sunday with another design team make. So until then...take care and happy crafting.
