Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. The Crafting Musketeers....New Challenge

Todays cards are design team makes for the fabulous team at The Crafting Musketeers. A new challenge has just begun and will run for the next month. The theme is Monochrome..not just black and white as I first thought but also includes shades of the same colour. So thinking of this I did my first card in shades of pink. My second card I made I stayed with black and white because I wanted to zentangle the cap.

We are so lucky this month to have 2 wonderful sponsors...The Stamping Boutique and Glitterbabe. It's worth spending a little time and browsing through the wonderful images that are available from both sources. I am lucky to be able to work with fabulous images, drawn by very talented people.

The weather here in the mountains today is quite calm..which seems to be a real blessing after the weather that we have had. Even so the cats have all settled down for naps...the peace is unbelievable. Yesterday I managed for the first time in ages to do some sewing. I haven't sewn for an age and was quite pleased that I haven't forgotten how to load a bobbin or  thread the machine. I am going to cut some patchwork out over the next few days to sew at the weekend. I have also cut out 2 cat toys..hopefully they will like them..I intend to fill them with catnip and then watch the fun...lol.

Well the coffee is calling and I have some work to do. I've already decided to do an easy dinner..we going to have chips with fresh baked sausage rolls. There is also gooseberry crumble left for pudding. We shall have a healthy dinner tomorrow..lots of vegetables to make up for tonights treat. The colouring pens and the caffeine are calling...so until next time..take care and happy crafting.
