Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. JB- Crafting Supplies.......Snow Cuddles

Todays card is a design team make for the wonderful company of JB-Crafting Supplies. I have used this stamp from Stampendous Stamps. I just loved this image of the snowmen and had such fun stamping, colouring and of course glittering this card. For any of your christmas crafting needs, please pop over to the JB-Crafting Supplies shop and take a look.

Well what a weekend it turned out to be.I had all these plans of work to do and what with the wind, the kittens and the electricity supply..hardly any thing got done. The wind and the rain raged on Friday and Saturday...the lights were forever on and off and when it finally came on..there was no internet connection. And I have to say that this cottage is really dark with no lights..and with all the kittens..candles were not an option..lol.

The kittens are growing rapidly and eating me out of house and home..lol. They now come downstairs whilst I'm cooking..and it's a hectic time. Because the kitchen is quite a large room, they can pick up quite a speed and the noise that they make is unbelievable.

I tend to find this time of year really hard, with missing Henry as I do. This was one of our favourite times of year and the house used to be filled with laughter and anticipation. The magic of the season always seemed to be around. At the moment I seem to feel nothing and it's really hard...all the adverts on the television, the films and everything we used to be into..I can't get there. Everyone is so kind and I'm blessed with amazing friends but I just don't know how to get out of this funk. I have to believe that time will make things easier and that perhaps next year I will try and do the whole christmas thing to honor Henry and all the christmases we shared. Next year I shall perhaps put a tree up. Goodness knows I can only hope. And I shall continue to count my blessings.

Well the coffee is calling and I think a good dose of caffeine will do me good. As I write all the kittens have finally gone to sleep..and all is quiet. Even the big cats look relieved..lol. I hope that the weather is being kind to you.So until next time..take care and happy crafting.
