Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Decoupage Delights....Vintage Christmas

Todays card is a design team make for the fabulous company of Decoupage Delights. This decoupaged bell is from the Vintage Christmas cdrom. Bells have long been decorating Christmas Cards and I always wonder why. Is it just the connection with the church and represents the peeling of bells to represent the good news? I have to say that I don't really know why..but I shall treat it as a quest to find out more. This years Christmas orders have seemed to use a lot of images using bells and this is one of my favourite images. And below is my other most used image..I have used both so much, I feel as if I could cut them out in my sleep..lol

On both images, I have decoupaged the bells and of course I had to add a little glitter..lol. I do hope that you will pop over to the Decoupage Delights facebook page and take a look at all the fabulous cdroms that are available. Also it's always a good idea to keep an eye out for some of the fabulous deals that come up on the page.

Here in the mountains today, the mists are down..so it feels as if we are in Brigadoon again. And it's raining but I have to say that it's surprisingly warm. Despite that none of the cats are going out. Jeffrey is sat on the windowsill looking out but not wanting to put a paw out..lol.

Well the coffee is calling and my list of things to do never seems to get any shorter..as soon as I finish one thing it seems as if another three things pop on. I hope that your Christmas preparations are going well and that you are not wearing yourself out. I shall be back later with more design team makes..so until then..take care and happy crafting.
