Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. JB-Crafting Supplies...A Gardening Lady

Todays card is a design team make for the fabulous JB-Crafting Supplies. I have been lucky enough to work with 'One Summers Day...the wonderful cd rom brought to us crafters by Joanna Sheen. It features the art work of the very talented artist..Barbara Mock. I decided to make this card, that I thought would be perfect for a gardening friend. The image has been decoupaged. I mounted the backing paper onto some burgundy card and created a border with the same. The greeting and the small square decoration are  both on the sheet of decoupage. I also added some flower jewels to the border and a bow made out of gardening twine.

It's a beautiful day here in the mountains and I'm sat by the window enjoying the breeze blowing in. All the cats are stretched out in the sun warming their tummies and having a lovely time. I spent the weekend crafting and have to say that I enjoyed every minute of it. I've got lots of colouring to do..I have printed it all out ready to go. I just have to get my head together to do it.I've had the nurse this morning, she brought with her my new machine for taking my blood count. I have to do it 4 times a day.I hope that I can sort out some problems by monitoring my blood myself. The nurse was great..she showed me how to use it and now I can do it myself. She also took my blood pressure which was ok, I'm glad to say.

Well the coffee is calling and then it will be head down, pens out and time to colour. Or as it now seems to be called...art therapy..lol. A new name perhaps for my job..no longer a card designer but an art therapist. I went up in the world and didn't even know it..lol. So until tomorrow...BT willing of course..take care and happy crafting.
