Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. JB-Crafting Supplies...Flying Frog

Todays card is a design team make for the fabulous JB-Crafting Supplies. I have been lucky enough to get to work with another Nellie Snellen stamp...this one is called Flying Frog. The background papers are from a paper stack by the Wild Rose Studio called Cherry Cupcake. I stamped the image using a memento inkpad and then coloured it using my promarkers. I then glittered the wings of the frog and the fairy and little areas around.I used a diecut ivy swirl and some diecut flowers, which I coloured to match. I also added some peeloff dragonflies. All the products that I have used are available from Julie over at JB-Crafting Supplies.

I have to say that the cats are driving me mad today..lol. I am playing cat round about all by myself. If Tankie has lapped my head once...she's done it 40 times. It seems to be a competition between her and Obie who can drive me crazy first. They are all sulking at me because I've taken the electric blanket off the bed until next Autumn. After all I don't want to go soft in my old age..lol.

I have been thinking today, just how lucky I am to work in the crafting world. Yes I'm on a number of design teams but each is so different with what I create and I really get to stretch my creativity in lots of different ways. And I have to say that I get to work with an amazing amount of super talented crafters...what more could a woman want. I am a great believer in counting your blessings and this has to be one...I also say that my cats are another..but you have to wonder when they're flying round your head....lol.

Well the cffee is calling and then I need to look at the work for the rest of the week. I've always been a list maker and I still find it the way to go. I'll make the list of cards and projects that have been ordered and then I'll just work my way through them...cat willing of course. Oh and I had some good BT news..I complained about the service and I got a discount..lol. The lady on the phone couldn't believe how slow our speed was and gave me a discount. Mind you I did moan like a fool..so she was probably just glad to be rid of me,...lol. Anyways..until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting

  1. Great card and so was yesterday's. Glad you complained to BT -they should give you a discount at the very least!

Am off work this week as today's my birthday . Been into Liverpool with hubby but had to come home early as he was in pain again= kidney stones, which started up again last week. Last time he needed surgery.
