Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. The Crafting Musketeers...It's a man's world.

Todays card is a design team make for the fabulous team over at the Crafting Musketeers Challenge blog. The theme for this month is 'It's a mans world'. The sponsars for this month are the wonderful team over at JGD.I picked this image because so many men that I know have small dogs such as this and I know that they would love such an image on their birthday cards. The image is from the Joanna Sheen cd..The Nostalgia Collection..featuring the artwork of Kevin Walsh. There are many wonderful images on this double cd and so many are suitable for the men in your life. It features classic cars, planes, sporting events and many many images of times gone by. The second cd is a christmas one and there are fabulous traditional scenes that you can use year after year.On this card, I've mounted the backing paper and the main image onto some dark blue card and created a small border with the same. I was lucky enough to find some dog related charms in my stash which I thought would be perfect to decorate the card. I also attached a little dog house charm to a bow.

It's been a busy day today with people coming and going. It's also a fine day today, which means that some of the cats have gone outside. Jeffrey was thinking of going out until he spotted Hobo. They obviously thought that they were going to have a manly fight but I laid down the law. So now they are sat in the window..one inside, one outside, growling at each other through the glass. It doesn't help though, when they both start yowling and my headache arrives..lol.

I'm off downstairs in a while to make dinner. I have decided that I'm going to make a beef stew and dumplings for dinner. So this afternoon will find me chopping vegetables, listening to music. I'm hoping that there will end up enough for a couple of days. I'm hoping to have the stew with mashed potatoes tonight and then with roast potatoes tomorrow. I've got a lot of work to do, so if dinner is sorted for a couple of days, then I will be happy.

Well the coffee is calling and so are the carrots..lol. I hope that you will find the time to pop over to the Crafting Musketeers Challenge Blog and join in the fun. It is always a great source of inspiration...there are some very talented people on the team. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.
