Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Sailing Away

Todays card  is one that I made for my design team over at jb-crafting supplies. It was drawn by Adele Bradwell..who also designed the backing paper. What a talented lady she is. All the copyrights of this design belong to her and I was just lucky enough to work with it. If you would like to know more about this design or to see what other fabulous artwork she does..please contact Julie over at jb- crafting. I love the vintage but sexy feel of this card and know a number of men that would really love to receive it. How I wish that my legs were that long and lovely. And I have a certain friend that could wear those shoes...not me...I have enough trouble in a pair of pumps...lol. The diecuts that I used were from the All Occasion die range.

This card has made me think about shoes and I have to say that I adore them but just don't have them. I can admit to owning only two pairs...yes really...a pair of crocs and a pair of pumps. And the pumps were only bought this year to give me a bit of grip on my good leg when I'm in the wheelchair. I needed a little grip because the camber on the lane is so bad, that if I didn't have the little extra grip..I may end up in the river..lol. I've said to my friends that if they ever see Reg stood alone by the river just follow the lead and they'll find me. So I live my shoe obsession through my friend..she has some shoes that you just want to stroke and she can wear heels so high that I would be suffering from vertigo...lol

Well the coffee is calling and I have a stack of work to do..and I still need to photograph a stack of cards. But the athletics are on so I'll be quite happy just to plod away this afternoon. So until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting.
