Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. A Snowflakes Promise....New Challenge

Today's card is a design team make for the wonderful team over at A Snowflakes Promise. My one remaining design team. I have been so lucky t work with many wonderful teams and fabulous designers. Today's card is from the wonderful artwork collection at A Day for Daisies . To me there is something so beautiful about the designs. As you all know I do have a passion for witches..as my parlour ceiling reveals...currently there are 6 flying around and 1 Irish fairy. There is another waiting to be returned..she fell down and donked a cat..Sprout thought that the sky was really falling..lol. I love it when it is windy and they really do look like they are flying in all different directions. Anyway back to today's design. She is called the Little Crow Witch. I loved the way that her little crow and her are looking at each other..are they daring each other to give this flying lark a go ? The background is made using Brushos and Pixie Powders..I love mixing the two and seeing what effects I can get. I have used my pencils to colour the witch. I'm thinking that she will be soon adorning the parlour wall.

The weather here today is trying to be fine but goodness knows how long it will last. According to what I have read the weather is supposed to be turning very hot...if that happens then the fan will be making it's appearance on my table..and that is guaranteed to drive the cats crazy..lol. If my table is clear they all think that it should be theirs..there is a certain spot that I call the ignorant spot..and if they can't get their own way over something..they sit in this certain spot so I can't see who I'm talking to. At this very moment Jeffrey is lay to my left..eyes closed and all stretched out and goodness me ..he takes up a lot of space.

I have to share with you the one thing that is slowly driving me insane..the letter o on the computer is not working properly and I have to tap it at least 3 times to get it to work. There seems to be nothing causing the problem..no cat biscuit remnants under the key..lol..it just continues to drive me mad. Sometimes I can be typing away, not really thinking about it and look back and realise that there are no os anywhere. There have been a few times when I've felt like slinging the computer out of the window..lol...mind you sometimes when I get an ignorant person talking to me through the window, I often feel like throwing something at them. There was man the other day who insisted talking to me as if I was thick..he nearly got it..but I held back..his wife nearly got it for patting me on the head when I was out in the wheelchair..so perhaps it's just something they do as a family..drive other people insane..lol

Well the coffee is calling and then I'll be doing some more painting. So if you hear about some madly coloured cats in Wales..you know they will be here. Nothing attracts them more than wet paint..lol. So until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting.
