Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Gruffies and Guests....Summer Fun

Here I am back again..lol. Here is my design team make for the fabulous Gruffies and Guests. A new challenge has begun today with the theme of Summer Fun. We are lucky to have been sponsored by the wonderful team over at Crafty Individuals.

And as you can see there is a wonderful prize up for grabs. This company is so well known for the quality of it's products and I have to say that the detail that it manages to capture with it's stamps is just amazing.

For my card I chose this sweet image of the happy hoppers dressed up as little bees. Whenever I look at this image it makes me smile. These must be the only bees that I am happy to be close to..lol. Ever since I was little I have had a bit of a thing about bees and wasps. It was wasps that were really to blame but bees can make me edgy as well. What happened was that it was the first time I had tried a new apple scented shampoo and I went outside. Within less than half an hour I had been stung 10 times and went inside crying..only to be stung again. I ended up quite ill and in bed for a couple of days. So you can see why I was upset..lol. But these bees I love. I thought it fitted the theme well.. Why not pop over and join in the fun at the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog. But please remember that it has to be either a Gruffie, Happy Hopper or House Mouse image.

For my card I mounted the image onto some gold mirri and some black. The backing paper is from a different image on the Gruffies and Happy Hoppers cd. The flowers are made using a pinflair punch. I coloured a piece of paper using my promarkers and then punched them out. I used a border peeloff as a stem and then added the flowers to that and finally added a tiny pearl to the center of each. You know by now just how much I love to fiddle..lol

Well Virgo has just arrived..so I'm living in hope that I'll get a coffee..lol. All the cats are sat inside the window because it's hammering down outside. And of course it's all my fault..well according to them..lol. I hope that you all have a fabulous weekend whatever the weather is like where you are. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting,
