Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Meeting Neptune

Todays card is made using a wonderful image from Josephine Wall. It is from the cdrom brought to us by Joanna Sheen. There is also a project book available which has even more of these lovely pictures. There is just so much detail in the picture and so many different colours, I decided to go a little different with it. I took the colours in the image as my inspiration and used my inks to colour the base card.I also added a row of pearls in different colours to embellish it.

I woke up this morning to a white blanket everywhere and a whole group of cats refusing to even move..lol. It had snowed during the night but it wasn't very much and has now gone. It's still cold though and the blanket is over my legs.It has just started snowing again here. Sprout came over to me looked out of the window, saw the snow flakes and went oh no and headed back to bed..lol. I don't think that Raven has moved off my legs all day.

I've been sleepy all day..I don't know why because I had a good nights sleep for once but to be honest, I could have stayed in bed all day. But as always the cards began to shout and the cats began to meow...so out I got. You would not believe the row that they can all make when it's coming to breakfast time. They follow my every move to ensure that I don't forget my only true mission in life..lol Their food goes on a large tray and they all have their own special places on it. That is everyone bar Jeffrey. He has to be fed on his own in a different room. It always makes me smile as they are all jostling for their special places.

Well the coffee is definitely calling today. Perhaps a good dose of caffeine will sort me out. Sparkle has arrived and he always does make a fabulous brew..so it looks as if I'm going to be lucky. So wherever you are I hope that you're having a good time, and that the weather is being kind to you. Take care and happy crafting.
