Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Holly Cottage

Todays card is from a Joanna Sheen cdrom. Again I've had the glitter pot out. I've bordered the image with holly leaves and berries. For a change I used an A5 card. Most of the time I use an 8x8 but today I thought that image suited this size card. I tend to use the larger cards because of the postage. That may sound strange but I resent paying the cost of a normal first class stamp for a small card when it does seem you get a better deal sending a large card. I feel that on a 8x8 you have a good size to work on and many people feel as if they are getting something really special. And let's be honest, it's so nice to have something drop through the letterbox that isn't a bill. The weather here seems to have calmed down today...the wind has dropped and the rain has been coming in small showers. All my cats have gone out to play...they have sulked for days due to the heavy rain. The weather hasn't bothered me as I've been lucky enough to be able to stay in and craft. I hope wherever you are the weather is being kind to you. I'm now off to find the glitter pot..so take care and happy crafting
