Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Jiggery Makery.....Flower Power.

Here I am again. Caffeine has now been added..so I'm smiling..lol. The card above is a design team make for the wonderful Jiggery Makery. As most of you know I just love to create the outfits for the fabulous pin up ladies of Jiggery Makery. This outfit was inspired by a memory of an outfit that I had when I was younger. The skirt was covered in embroidered flowers. They created a thick border at the bottom and drifted upwards to single blooms. It was bought for me from Spain and I wore it until it literally fell to bits. I can remember the feel of the embroidered material..it was quite heavy but hung beautifully. So with all that in mind I created this outfit. I hunted some small flower stamps and created the pattern. I then coloured them with my promarkers.I smile when I look at it because of the memories of days when I wore my skirt. People always commented on it and I felt all dressed up when I wore it. It is hard to think now just how much work it must have taken to embroider the skirt. I think it was so popular in Spain because of the bright colours that were placed onto the black base material.

So if you fancy recreating a favourite outfit...have a look through all the wonderful images that have been created by the very talented Adele over at Jiggery Makery. Every time I look through the images I find one that will inspire a memory..so I have lots in the pipework. I've never really been a girly girl but working with these images allows my girly side to fight through..lol.

Well it's time to have another coffee. I'm aiming to have a sinful dinner tonight. I'm going to have sausage roll and homemade chips. I'm really looking forward to it..and I think that it's not too sinful really seeing that I've had salad and fish for the past fortnight. My diet seems to be changing...I'm eating less and less meat..being obsessed with fish lately...and I have to admit to spinach as well. It's a wonder that I haven't turned into Popeye, with all the spinach I get through..lol. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.
